Felix was relieved that the weather was improving. Winter on the island had been a rather trying time for the Australian boy, and the fact that the snow was gone and the sun was back was a miracle as far as he was concerned. However, most days he still found it fairly cold-- nothing compared to the last few months, but there was still enough of a chill in the air that he made it routine to stop by a cafe to get a hot chocolate on the way home from work every day.
He was just debating, hot chocolate in hand, on whether he wanted to continue on his way home immediately or take a seat in the cafe for a while, when he suddenly spotted a familiar face. “Oh, hi Eve!” He greeted her cheerfully, walking over to the table she was sitting at. “Mind if I join you?” It had been a while since he had seen her, so it would be nice to chat for a while.
Suddenly he paused, his brow furrowing slightly as his eyes fixed on the knife in her hand. “Um... Eve? Why are you stabbing the table?”
