not to be too grim but Mr Okay's sitaution is both heartwarming and horrifying. It's established he met Dr Lullah as a pup when she first came to the island and they hit off pretty quickly.

And to take that dog and to mutate him, to graft human legs to his body, grant him the power of speech and probably increase his intelligence and lifespan is pure horror to me.

and yet, despite that all, he's still loyal he still cares for her

and she does care about him. even despite what she did, he's one of the few beings she genuinely cares for

it's such a silly show that isn't meant to be horror but it's so ripe with horror potential and real emotion it's just so fascinating I love this show
