If I had a nickel for every time I worked on a show where Rhys Darby voiced a character I'd have two nickels.......... which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice...................
YIPPEEE today the episode of Chibiverse that I storyboarded, Lost Pets, came out on youtube! You can watch it here!! :) I'm gonna try and pace myself with sharing stuff, but for now here are some of my favorite storyboards next to the final episode. I had so much fun workin on this. RUMOR: Disney Enterprises Inc. Lists Potential Disney Television Animation Series/Project "Ozzie Fox".
The future's in my hands... or paws in this case....? 🦊🍃
Disney Kids & Family recently announced two new projects heading to Disney Channel and Disney+: "Warrior Cats" and "Journey" however a new trademark from Disney Enterprises Inc. hints a potential new member to join Phineas, Ferb, Cricket Green, Tilly Green, Kiff, Barry, Zed, Adission, Ssyelle, Key, Rose, Jeru and Wayne as they recently trademarked a project under the name "Ozzie Fox".
The company listed two trademarks for this potential series one for soundtracks and the other under the "Entertaiment Services namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring action, adventure, animated content, comedy, and music."
Of course not much is know about the creator, overall tone and synopsis but the name and description of the trademark can give us a hint that this project is under the "comedy, action, adventure, musical" genre something more akin to Disney Channel rather than Disney Jr. and that the project will star anthropomorphic animals in a similar vein to "Kiff" or other rival networks and streamers such as Nickelodeon's "Harvey Beaks", "We Bare Bears" at Cartoon Network and the recent Netflix adult animated series "Mating Season"
Ozzy Fox
Ozzy Fox
If "Ozzy Fox" is real then it could be a nice addition to Disney Channel's animation slate. Other projects in production are a upcoming action-adventure comedy series in collaboration with Jeff "Swampy" Marsh's studio Surfing Giant Studios, "Pouic And Pica" and "Sunday Morning" which got awarded by Disney Television Animation as Best MIFA Pitch during the 2025 & 2026 edition Annecy Film Festival (Both got optioned for a development deal for a potential series at Disney); As well two potential projects "Suburbion" and "Fuzz" which recently their pilots got revealed via SAG-AFTRA's website.
Additionaly Ian Jones-Quartey (Cartoon Network Studios "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes") is currently developing a new animated project at Disney Television Animation simultaneaously while he and Rebecca Sugar await a series order for "Steven Universe: Lars Of The Stars by Prime Video.

Im more positive news seems that now we have SEVEN upcoming series for Disney Channel & Disney+ in the works as they are currently hiring for a recently greenlit show.... oh dear.
We only know two so far ("Journey" & "Darkwing Duck"), wonder what the other four will be.👀
Crossing fingers for this recently greenlit show being Ian Jones-Quartey's project from January 2025. 🤞

"The Doomies" premieres Friday June, 26 on Disney+.
Cartoon Brew sat down with "The Doomies" co-creator Andrés Fernandez and revealed some details on the show:
-Early versions of the show had it taking place at America but when Disney asked it to make it more personal, they changed the setting to France.
-“Originally it was not specifically set in Brittany. It was more like an American desert or something like that. Disney was saying, maybe you can make the location like something you really know.” Andres Fernandez
-"In winter, there are not many people, and in the summer it explodes, So, for me it was the perfect opportunity to show my town and my country.” - Andres Fernandez
-Unlike similar shows like Cartoon Network's "Over The Garden Wall" and Disney's own "Gravity Falls" where the supernatural events are in wilderness or small mountain towns. "The Doomies" unfolds in a community shaped by tourism, local traditions, & generational residents who coexist with an influx of outsiders.
-The weather became part of the storytelling. Fernandez wanted viewers to feel the dampness and fog that settles over industrial skylines in the region for much of the year. the crew didn’t want the series to become visually dreary.
-Fernandez wanted audiences to recognize classic horror archetypes with new layers we haven't seen before. A big example would be the vampires from the series premiere "Polza brought the monsters to life in a way we hadn’t seen before."
-Andres Fernandez on Kim played by Noel Gibson (Nickelodeon Movies and Point Grey Pictures "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem") "She doesn’t know how to fight without her fists, anime and martial arts was a reference for me to have that type of character really fight."
"The Doomies" premieres Friday June, 26 on Disney+
Creator Andres Fernandez discusses the influence of his hometown Brittany, Pozla's designs, Buffy inspirations, and bringing the series to D

Ciro Nieli ("Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!", Warner Bros Animation "Teen Titans", Marvel Animation "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes", Nickelodeon Animation Studios "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and Hasbro Entertaiment "Transformers Earthspark") shared concept art of a proposed "Gargoyles" reboot/sequel series that he pitched at Disney Television Animation in 2020.
Sadly the project would get passed due the COVID-19 cuts at Disney Television Animation alongside an original show idea he had "Weirdo Pizza". These cuts also affected other scrapped projects like "Weird Waters" by Jacob Hair and Bob Bowen, "Planet Runaway" and a Untitled "Lockjaw/Marvel" project by Ben Balistreri as well a yet to be revealed project by "Star Vs. The Forces Of Evil" and "Gravity Falls" alumni Sage Cotugno.
A live-action reboot of the series for Disney+ is currently in development at Disney Television Studios and Atomic Monster with Gary Dauberman (Warner Bros "Anabelle" franchise, Paramount Pictures "Street Fighter") as showrunner and James Wan and Michael Clear (A24 "Backrooms") as executive producers. Dauberman would mention that the project was still alive in April 2025 during Wondercon 2025.
"Back in 2020 I was working at Disney TV Animation development. One of the projects I touched upon was the now classic, Gargoyles. My pitch was a respectful and simple continuation of the series: Canmore, with the Grimorium Arcanium, casts the Gargoyles back into a deep sleep while he overtakes the 5 Burroughs of NYC with crime lords and monster beasts. 25 years later, in 2020, once police commissioner, Eliza Masa, raises the Gargoyles from their spell and the fight to take back the city begins. The art choice was a streamlined look, because I wanted full 2D animation and was reluctant to change the established core aesthetic. Unseen here is Goliath had lost his arm and replaced it with a cybernetic one." - Ciro Nieli
