oh yeah i have ideas for other characters as well btw (for sylvanian customs - here's my battle tendency ones)

jonathan i have a very clear vision for - either this collie dog or the lion!

leaning towards the dog tbh, but i really like the idea of him as a lion.

dio i'm having a lot of trouble with (i mean, can you think of a sylvanian that looks evil? lol). i was thinking a white cat to go with jonathan being a dog - it seemed the most fitting for his character.

i think the best one would be the line with the sculpted fur on the sides of the face, but unfortunately that family seems to have been a really limited/japanese only release. so failing that the persian would probably be best (especially since i might use the regular white cat for caesar)

i quite like this dog for speedwagon! he gives me speedwagon vibes. but i was also thinking a raccoon or tanuki could work because the eye markings are similar to the ones he has :)

mr zeppeli is a badger to me (although i feel like the goat could work too?)

and i think the golden labrador would be perfect for erina :) (this granny bear would be so good for granny erina, but i'm not sure a bear works so well for her younger self)

Y/N is a castaway adrift at sea, who'd been on a raft for days. Mer!Santana, curious about the strange figure on the surface, comes for a closer look, and Y/N freaks out thinking they're hallucinating from hunger and thirst. "You can't be real...mermaids don't exist..."

"Well then, do you suppose I'm not doing this?"

The merman shakes his tail and the water goes towards Y/n's face making her sure she wasn't just imagining things.

"That wasn't funny!" Santana even with a poker face was finding the situation amusing.

"Oh yeah, that was fun."

A strange noise had been made by the human, it was actually the rumbling of his stomach, they were hungry.

"whats wrong?"

"I haven't eaten in days, I'm starving."

Santana knew that feeling well, had experienced it several times when it had been neglected by her old masters. God, he hated remembering it and didn't wish it on anyone.

The red-haired merman thinks for a moment, he knew that humans had a strange way of preparing their food and that even if he brought good fish, he wasn't sure they would eat it. Then he had an idea.

"Get on my back. There's a land of humans nearby, I'll take you there."

Y/n never thought she would be so happy to hear such words, her eyes sparkle with hope, and with merman's help she manages to climb on his back and Santana swims towards land. Y/n however ends up fainting from fatigue and Santana panics when thinking for a moment that the human had died, until he felt them still breathing and luckily saw a fishing boat passing close to where he was. of the boat and puts the human lying on the wood.

The noise draws the attention of the boat owners who will quickly see what was happening. Santana hides from human view but still watches Y/n from afar, and soon after making sure the human is safe, the merman leaves the place swimming to God only knows where.

Y/n wakes up hours later inside the fishing boat, she had been rescued by a very kind old man and his flirtatious grandson. Even after he dumped the young blond man, they still had his friendship.

The older man who had previously introduced himself as Mr. Zeppelli and his grandson as Ceasar, asks Y/n how they got there. Y/n tells about what had happened, already waiting for the two men to laugh in his face with they just made fun of them saying it was crazy. But to their surprise, they both knew very well what they were talking about, even telling them about their merman friends and saying it was new for them to leave without saying hello or at least explaining why they had brought a person to them.

Ceasar asks Y/n how the mermaid was and after describing with the details they remembered, both the grandfather and his grandson put on a confused face, as they didn't know any merfolk with these characteristics.

"maybe there are more of them that we don't know..." The two younger ones just nod their heads in agreement with Mr Zepelli.

Days passed, and with nowhere to go, Y/n asks Mr. Zeppelli to let her live with them in exchange for their help. The man takes pity on them and gives them a room on their fishing boat that also served as their home.

It was late at night, and not being able to sleep, Y/N decides to go out of her room to admire the stars a little, lost in thought, they were not even realizing that crimson eyes watched them from the dark waters of the night. Santana was there for a visit.

Ceasar smiles, happy that his grandfather understands his side, and doesn't want to stop him.

Mer! Speedwagon first met mer! Jonathan when he got tangled in a net and was being hauled onto the deck by poachers, which was how he got his face scar. However Jonathan, who happened to be swimming by, helped cut him free and in his gratitude he accompanied Jonathan and soon became one of his closest and most loyal companions. 💙
