I was thinking about how the visual depictions of these characters have varied so wildly over the centuries and wondered whether you have any favorite examples of Arthurian illustrations/art (from any time period)? sorry if this sent twice tumblr is glitching for me

Ooooh this is a great question. I think I gotta give it to Howard Pyle. He just drew SO MUCH and that includes many portraits of women. Look at all these beauties!
Tragically he dropped the ball in the fourth book and didn’t create a portrait of Enid. Alas. 💔
