Spinach, Bread boy, and Meat man sat in the corner of the craft room.
"Why did they add a bar to the teacher's lounge! It's not healfy!" Spinach said.
"I'm not even old enough to drink yet." Whispered Bread boy.
"I think it's for the new one," Said Meat man. "The lamp teacher. He drunk all the time."
"Ugh!" Spinach said in disgust.
At that moment the door opened. In walked a human. They had a tool belt around their waist but instead of tools it contained a bottle of glue, a bag of googly eyes, a roll of felt and a whole ball of yarn.
"Is that a crafter?" Asked Bread boy.
"I fought we had all the teachers we needed for the season." Said Spinach.
The crafter walked over to one of the shelves that didn't already house teachers. They took out a bottle with eyes on it and placed it on the crafting table. Then they took a piece of yarn and put it under the eyes.
Spinach hopped over to the table to watch the crafter work. The crafter added arms and legs to the bottle. It blinked, then stood on its legs. The crafter then took a rolled up peice of paper and put it in the bottle 's top. They whispered something to the bottle and placed it on the floor.
"Hello!" Spinach greeted the bottle.
The bottle turned away from her and walked away.
"Rude!" Spinach huffed. "Can't you take a bit of time to talk to me?"
"He has to send a message first. He can socialize when he's back." Said the crafter. "He must go quickly if he is to reach his destination."
"Oh." Spinach said.
Spinach hopped back over to Bread Boy and Meat man.
"They said he's a messenger, not a teacher." Spinach told Meat man.
"Who are they sending a message to?" Meat man asked.
"I don't know," Spinach said. "I guess it's to one of the students."
...
Red and Duck were sitting together in the living room when Doll and Yellow returned from the grocery store. Yellow waved hello to them before following his mother into the kitchen.
"We're back," Doll said. "Thanks for helping us bring the groceries in."
The two of them ignored her in favour of sitting closer together. For a while there was a calm quiet except for the quiet talking between Yellow and Doll. Then there was a scream from Yellow and they heard Doll scream "WHAT THE F***?!" Then there was the sound of breaking glass.
Red and Duck hurriedly stood up and rushed to the kitchen. Before them they saw Yellow hiding behind Doll who was pointing a knife at a broken bottle with eyes, a mouth, and two arms. Red and Duck rushed to Yellow who was already panicked.
"You want more?! DON'T TRY ME B****!!" Doll yelled.
"Geez lady!" Said the bottle. "Haven't you ever heard the phrase 'don't shoot the messenger?'"
Doll ignored his words and kept pointing the knife at him.
"If you start singing I swear I'll break the rest of you!" She shouted.
"Singing?" The bottle seemed confused. "I'm not a teacher if that's what you're thinking."
"So you're not from THE PROGRAM?" Asked Doll.
"Well I am," Admitted the bottle. "But I'm a messenger. The note in me is for you."
The bottle pulled a rolled up peice of paper out of his insides. Doll didn't move to grab the paper. Red moved in front of her and pushed the knife aside.
"Doll, please calm down." Red said.
He approached the bottle and took the paper from it. Then he read the message out loud.
"'To the family of Roy. We are legally obligated to inform you that as of this weekend Roy is to be unraveled. You may wish to resolve any remaining business you may have with him through this message system, as you are not allowed to see him in person.' Wait what?" Red said.
"Yeah," Replied the bottle. "Crazy right? We almost never had teacher s marry or reproduce outside of THE PROGRAM. And we've never had to unravel those guys. I was the the only messenger they could get on short notice to avoid legal ramifications. But at least I had a mouth now! Before they just sent me without one! Isn't this cool!"
"What does it mean when they say 'unravel'?" Asked Duck.
"Oh!" The bottle laughed. "Unraveling is when a teacher is broken down to basic components and used to make other teachers. You would usually call it 'death'."
"What's gonna happen to my Dad?" Yellow asked.
Duck wrapped his arms around Yellow. Doll looked at him them back at the bottle.
"I may have left him but that doesn't mean I want him dead. If we're talking about legal ramifications what about the ramifications of killing my husband, and Yellow's father?" She asked, clearly disgusted.
"Well Roy doesn't exactly have rights." The bottle explained. "None of the teachers or really any character created by THE PROGRAM does."
After the bottle said this the whole group seemed to feel uncomfortable. A visibly upset Yellow clung tightly to Duck
"So we can reply back to him using you?" Asked Doll.
"Yup!" The bottle said.
Doll turned to the rest of the group. She sighed and looked for a piece of paper and pencil. For a while the group discussed what to write. Out of all of them, Doll seemed the most decisive.
"I made a mistake and now I have a chance to contact him. I'm not letting him die now!" She said.
"I'm not exactly sure there's anything we can do in that short of a time." Duck replied.
It took them a while to decide on what to write. While it waited, the bottle picked up it's pieces and started putting itself back together. When the group was done the bottle had put itself back together completely.
