Good Bye Huss. A true champion.
IPL attracted a lot of big names. But few really gave this competition more respect than Mr. Cricket himself. Michael, you have been a great player, a fierce competitor and more importantly a wonderful bloke on and off the field. I hope your contribution to the game you love continues. The game needs people like you, Sangakarra and Dravid to make sure that the future of this game is bright. Have a great post retirement and keep cover-driving, even after you hang up the boots.
Ed Cowan as Australian Test Captain?
You must be kidding me? This guy probably shouldn't even be in the team let alone captaining it. Taking your time to get in is fine in test cricket but you have back up the time spent at the crease with runs, not 20's and 30's. His fielding is a bit suspect too, a couple of dropped catches this summer. If he was to captain the side in the absence of Clarke or Watson you would only see his poor batting average take even more of a hit. It looks like Australia has left themselves short on experienced players now with Mr. Cricket and Ricky Ponting retiring. It will be interesting to see the make up of the team as the Ashes draw closer.
To Mr. Dravid, Gautam is taking x ray - will you open? Okay. Dhoni wants to bowl - will you keep? Okay. over rate slow so captain banned - will you captain? okay. Sachin didn't hit 100 - will you hit? Okay. India looks like losing - will you save the match? Okay. zaheer has hamstring injury - will you bowl? erm... Okay! and they call Hussey Mr. cricket
