something Tom and Greg's dad have in common is that they are both son-in-laws to the same generation of Roy men. They both have impossible-to-please, hateful, grumpy old men as their (ex?) in-laws--and their father-in-laws are brothers. (who hate each other!)

another thing they have in common? a failed relationship with a Roy daughter.
