Hello! Brown here – Three more days to go!!

Well, it’s hotting up at Americasmart in Atlanta! The ribbon to my new showroom has been cut! I have just launched a Social Media Contest and people are still everywhere! It’s all very exciting!

Very odd weather in Atlanta this week, I don’t really know what to wear! It is almost like a British Summer, very rainy and warm, one doesn't know how to dress. All you can do is take to heart the words of the Great English Adventurer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes; "There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing." I often wonder if he has ever ventured to Atlanta?!

Well anyway, everything is looking fantastic in the showroom, and we have managed to squeeze in a lovely new piece called 'The William Kent'; it's an elegant period-inspired bookshelf with beautiful hand-carved panels & lovely solid brass handles. Looks terribly expensive; very traditional in aesthetics with a contemporary rustic white finish, adjustable shelves and a generous cabinet at the bottom that can hide all of your “Bits and Bobs”.

Busy week in Atlanta, and I am at a friend's house, they have kindly let me stay here while my new showroom at Americasmart is being set up!

Now I rather like this city, though to be honest, I didn't have a clue as to where it was before I launched the company in 2010! But I will say I find it to be a rather interesting garden city with a great food scene, and SO green, literally! Teaches me not to listen to my New York friends, who think the world ends outside of Manhattan!

Anyway, listen to me banging on! I have a new showroom in Atlanta, and if I may say so myself, it's looking rather good! A new direction for 2013; with more vignettes, lots of new case goods, lighting and accessories, and a clearer sense of who we are becoming!

Now, I know I am biased, because I do think that we have the best, most interesting showroom and collections in the show!

Yes, blowing my own trumpet as my dear Mother would say!!
