Because it’s on my mind a lot as people keep asking me at work (over and over) why I’m not watching anymore, here’s a pretty amazing analysis of why Game of Thrones misunderstands and misuses a lot of the spirit of ASOIAF. (And why that even matters a little.)

Something I've been reminded of with The Veilguard's companions is a decade old MrBtongue video largely about The Witcher 2 but that touches on Watch Dogs and Inquisition. The video is about why characters having uncomfortable aspects, rather than being smoother and easier to swallow, makes them more interesting. And that digging into the "bad parts" of characters is a good thing. It's also only 9 minutes, because that man was good at editing his video essays into a single topic with clear thesis, intro, body and conclusion.

Another year passes and MrBtongue has still not yet returned to grace us with another perfect video on gaming or even media in general.

every few months, i double check MrBtongue’s channel to make sure I didn’t miss any sneaky new videos from one of the funniest and poignant nerd stuff talkie man and I’m always sad when I see nothing. He even made a video that made me interested in soccer, for god’s sake. 

Its been almost two years since part two of Slow Down the Violence and i hope for the day we get blessed with a new video. where ever Bobby the Tongue is, I hope he’s having the best time and picking all the nits.
