People aged 13-24 are affected by HIV at a much higher rate. Gay and bisexual amab people account for 70% of all new HIV diagnoses.
For ANYONE who is sexually active, latex condom use is the most effective method of preventing HIV and many other sexually transmitted infections/diseases (STIs/STDs). When latex condoms are used the right way and EVERY time, they are 98-99% effective in preventing HIV transmission!
If you’re having sex, use a condom every time! If you need condoms, you can get them FREE at any Planned Parenthood office, health department and college health center. There is no age restrictions, no ID required, no questions asked, no prescription needed. Just go get them…..and use them!

It’s so important to stop and take time everyday to really check in with yourself, take inventory of how you feel; emotionally and physically and then care for yourself the way you’d care for a friend or loved one. There’s lots of ways to do that: 💙Drink a glass of water 💚Eat a piece of fruit or veggies 💜Listen to upbeat music 💛Set Boundaries and don’t be afraid to say No! ❤️Take a walk, dance, or move your body with purpose. 💙Take a few deep breaths every hour or so- set a reminder on your phone and every hour take 4 really slow deep breaths in and let them out slowly-this lowers your heart rate and reduces anxiety 💚Take some time and read a chapter of your favorite book (or just a page) 💜Take a bath or an extra long shower 💛Watch your favorite show ❤️Put your PJs on as soon as you get home 💙Paint your nails 💚Eat a meal outside 💜Snuggle a pet 💛Think of 1 thing you’re grateful for- it can be anything at all.
You don’t have to do all of these, but check in with yourself and do at least one each day- it’ll be worth it, I promise!
