Today, on the Asylum's Quinceañera, Sister Hecate of the Bodacious Ta-Tas shares her experience of being the first woman in the House and how proud she is that we have strong female representation. "I am so happy to see so many women in our wonderful House now! When we first started, I was the only female Sister, and to say it was interesting and challenging is an understatement. I was called a gay man in drag so many times, I lost count. We worked very hard to convince the San Diego community that we were THEIR Sisters, not visitors from Los Angeles, or Mars, or some other planet! It was sweat filled, glittery, shiny fun and the best thing I have ever done. I am so proud of our Asylum and all the work we’ve done and hope for another 15 years of love and work. Fifteen years.... Geez, how time flies!" #women #femalesistersofperpetualindulgence #sistersofperpetualindulgence #asylumofthetorturedheart #sandiego #Quinceañera (at San Diego, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSe65SPLgqf/?utm_medium=tumblr
