oh my god, i did a goverment and politics a level (high school, just before college? I think that's the equivalent) and we learnt about it in the first year of the course...like, it's just a basic thing that's incredibly important to know
i know! its not like this is the first time anyone should come across it!
and we re-learn about it in every single polici class i have every had!!! to a certain point, i understand having to go over it because different courses are looking at different aspects of it, but to not know the basic tenets???

the worst part is that these are upper-level classes!!! these are the people who want to go to law school!!! and they still have to ask for clarification whenever the professor mentions it, even though it's something you start learning so freaking early on
