Photography Trend: Show and Concert Photography.
I have been photographing concerts and bands for about 3 and a half years now. The only reason I really got involved with photographing my local scene was due to two of my friends. From there I was introduced to other bands and now I am where I am. I have photographed at least 100 shows over the past few years.
It seems that every time I meet a young photographer they are all interested in one field of photography, band photography. This trend appeals to just more than photographers, but any average music fan with a camera or a camera phone. I think the internet has greatly influenced this trend due to the fact it is now easier than ever to discover and share new music. Due to this trend I have had to create my own unique style to stand out from the hundreds of other band photographers. It was never my plan to get involved with this trend, for me it was something that kind of just happened for me.
