I do t think the song is strictly about one thing. It can be about political leaders, it can be a silent prayer to a higher power, it's about feeling abandoned by someone and deciding to push through anyways. Saying we won't be forgotten. I think it's beautiful that it can be interpreted more than one way

I WILL BE FOREVER SALTY THAT THEY CUT THAT SSCENE WITH RUE AND KATNISS IN THE TREE!! Not only does it show their bond, but it shows Katniss with genuine feelings for Peeta, and that Peeta literally saved Katniss! Also the d11 bread and pseudo phallic rooftop scene of Peeta saying he never meant for Katniss to see 'that'! Lmao jkjk but that scene is so sweet! Instead we get cut always to Gale brooding and chicken bones in d12. And where is my painting scene and Peeta putting out the fire!?

Honestly, I was waiting for my fellow salt deposit to show up in my ask lol! I was like okay, Clayton’s currently lurking around and I just reblogged a better/cute interpretation of the real or not real scene, and hella deleted scenes. WHAT’S IT GOING TO BE lol.

So yes good this is good, because as usual, I’m up there in the sodium chloride party with you.

The Katniss and Rue scene is the scene I’m the most upset about them cutting. It had so much character and relationship dynamic in it. Not only did it amplify Katniss’ protectiveness over Rue, but it showed Katniss’ gentle maternal side as well. Or perhaps the same kind of sisterly love Katniss experienced for Rue that was portrayed in the books.

And aside from developing their relationship, it also developed eVERLARK’S AS WELL. Because ajfksljdkasa Katniss was never able to deny her feelings for Peeta; she simply skated around them. And when she came to the realization that he saved her, you could see the little spark light inside of her. Like wow you can see that Peeta gENUINELY CARES FOR KATNISS AND SHE NOTICED.

And omfg the rooftop scene has now made Everlark showering together in CF canon honestly lol. I don’t get why that scene was deleted either honestly? It was another sweet moment that showed the devloping feelings between Katniss and Peeta, their developing relationship. It showed that Katniss is attentive enough to remember a lot about Peeta, that she IS indeed the one paying attention.

And I don’t think it was too romantic or anything if that’s what Francis/whoever else is in charge of keeping scenes in was worried about??? Like it was about on the same level as the “favorite color” scene. Soooooo??????

But yeah no. Why have character development when you can have #ForeverGalone pouting alone in a field for a few moments, an extra Galoneniss (lol) kiss that was in no way necessary for any development at all or did anything to push the plot forward, Seneca and Snow sitting in a tree out in rose garden talking about…exposition, and Haymitch and Seneca talking about….exposition.

AND YEAH NO I’M STILL WILLING TO SELL MY FIRST BORN CHILD AND MY LIMBS TO GET THOSE MORPHLING AND FIRE PUTTING-OUT SCENES TOO.

I just….the choice of scenes to include in a movie makes no sense to me sometimes lol. Like how in the world was that…more important tHAN THAT?

Have you seen the theory of Palpatine literally syphoning padme's life force out of her to save Anakin? It explains the robot dr not knowing why shes dying when she was in good health, and anakin was pretty much dead as this was happening. Padme breathes her last breath as anakin takes his first breath as Vader. It also explains the story Palpatine tells Anakin in ROTS. It all makes perfect sense and its my fav theory of the Sw universe. Its the one thing to push Anakin over the edge and it does

YES i know this theory and i absolutely 100% believe it it literally makes PERFECT SENSE like the way they parallel padme’s death with vader’s “birth” and show them both happening at the same time has to be an intentionalfilmmaking decision.

also palpatine would obvs know how much of a threat padme would pose bc she’d probably be the only one left who could bring anakin back to the light so palpatine therefore has every reason to want her dead and every reason to make vader think he’s the one who killed her bc thinking he killed his own wife and child(ren) is the last thing that will just utterly break him and push him completely over to the dark side. palpatine knows vader will be totally obedient to him from then on bc he literally has no other choice, nowhere else to go, no one else to turn to.

not to mention the line “i couldn’t have [killed her] she was alive i felt it” like vader KNOWS padme didn’t die from the force choke and while he does accept palpatine’s explanation after a minute, his initial reaction is confusion bc he FELT that padme was still alive. and i’m no medical expert but it seems unlikely to me that even if padme’s death was still from the effects of the force choke even if it didn’t immediately kill her, she wouldn’t have been able to survive the entire anakin vs obi wan duel, the trip to polis massa, and then GIVE BIRTH TO TWINS plus if it had been the force choke giving her some kind of brain damage or whatnot then the droids would have been able to figure it out, and as you said, they said there was nothing MEDICALLY wrong with her so there had to have been some weird force shit going on imo

and you’d think that saving people would be a Good Guy Thing, so why is saving people from death a dark side power? maybe bc in order to save one person’s life, you have to sacrifice someone else. we know palpatine learned the power from darth plagueis, and we know he wants padme dead and vader alive, so that’s means and motive right there. palpatine stole padme’s life force and gave it to vader, thereby killing her and saving him. after all, padme was medically healthy (as the droids said) whereas vader had lost 3 limbs and been burnt alive in a flaming pit of lava. logically padme should have lived and vader should have died, but the opposite happened. why? bc of the same reason why all bad things happen in star wars: palpatine
