@GLaDOS
It was cold, and dark. Very much like space, except... now every thing felt heavier, and so very close. There were no sounds beyond a low whirring hum in the distance, much akin to a piece of technology in hibernation. He slowly moved his head from left to right. Wait... head? Since when could he do that? Eyelids flickered open, and two lights- one blue, one white- shown into the room. There was a dim lighting from above him, but there was no regard for that- his only thoughts being where he was, and why he felt this way.
Reaching up to rub the back of his neck, he paused, turning to look a the pale limb with widened eyes. Since when did he have that? The core flexed his newly discovered fingers, blinking a few times, inspecting them. It was only then that he realized the white light emanating from his face was as bright as his flashlight, and he shut that eye, leaving only a blue glow behind. Much like his optic before. He turned his head to look down, and he let out a startled yelp at what he saw. A human-esque torso, hips, legs, and feet. Panic began to settle into the corrupted core, and he swallowed. There it was again. He had never swallowed before. Reaching up, he padded new fingertips against his throat, feeling a small bulge in that area bob as he created the swallowing motion again.
This time, he opened his mouth, parting new lips that were thin and rough, to call out into the dull darkness. "H- hello..? Is any one there..?" he rang out, his voice the same as he has always remembered it. So that hadn't changed- but so much more beyond that norm was different. He wiggled his toes, bent his knees, and pushed himself up so he was in a sitting position. It all felt so new and mysterious to him- and Wheatley wasn't exactly sure if he was ready for this new test.
