This is how SamCait tinhatters turn false information into “canon”
This is part of what I had written in another POST to refute mrsd79′s rumor suggesting that Cait’s husband Tony is gay:

A couple of hours ago @mrsd79 chose to ignore the DEBUNK of harriethattie’s assertions, which I had taken pains to write last night (along with my response to her questions on my post) and which I assume she had to have known about since I had tagged her.
Instead, it appears she chose to either not read my debunk or to ignore it because it didn’t fit with her agenda. Instead a couple of hours ago she reblogged the thread with harriethatties’s misleading twitter “gotcha” and said this:

As far as I can tell the only one who is trying to “crush the truth” may be mrsd79.
So her fellow tinhats now have a new conspiracy. It doesn’t matter that I debunked it. They will only read what mrsd79 wrote and what harriethattie wrote and it will become “canon.”
This is what prominent tinhats do all the time. And this is how they create fake “canon” and mislead their followers.
In the remote chance that any of mrsd79′s followers will read this, I am repeating that particular debunk here.

I also discovered that one of the people in the conversation, Robert M N Harvey has since had his Twitter account suspended, which explains the absence of his tweets from the conversation. This might be an explanation for the missing tweet, which might have been a retweet from Harvey by John Dawkins and to which Baz Fratelli might have responded.]

I went and searched and tried to find any tweets related to this after harriethattie made her comment and this is what I found.
Yes there’s a missing tweet but there’s no “conspiracy” to omit it. The original tweet that I showed in my post is still there (the first tweet listed above). There was no “tampering.”
Look at the dates and times. (The times are based on my computer, which is set to EDT, so Scottish time would be five hours later.) Converting to Scottish time, the first tweet would have happened at two minutes to midnight on Feb. 20, 2012. The other three tweets followed within a half an hour of the first tweet but on technically “the next day,” specifically at 12:00 AM, 12:06 AM and 12:24 AM. There was only a two minute delay between the first tweet and the second tweet. I hypothesize that the missing tweet was a retweet by John Dawkins of something that Robert M N Harvey had tweeted. When Harvey’s account was suspended, that retweet would have also been deleted. That’s just a guess. I could be wrong, but I’m sure the tweet was not deleted for any sinister purpose.
Furthermore, this all happened back in 2012–before Cait was cast in Outlander. From what I can tell, the tweets were mainly about the “fashion writer” and questioning whether she really was a fashion writer.
Anyone can check all of this out for themselves. It is all still on Twitter.
On a side note, I think it is interesting that in the second tweet (which follows the one that mentions Tony) there is an indirect reference to Tony as “our manager.” Tony had been the manager for the very successful triple platinum band The Fratellis.
If @mrsd79 had a shred of integrity she would post a retraction of her comment and reblog the debunk. I’m not holding my breath.
This is how misinformation is spread among tinhatters. It is very sad. But in this case it is particularly sad because it is being used to continue to justify spreading misinformation about Tony.

Sam and Cait were to have an interview. The piece says that they were going to announce that they got married, and Ron Moore and everyone on the set and connected were aware. Ron and Albright prevented them from spilling the beans, and as we saw, Sam definitely looked mad. They had to start the lie that they were not a couple. What is really interesting is that the actor that played Willie in S1 (Finn Den Hertog) was fired for putting something on Facebook for commenting on S&C’s marriage. The email was taken down. I saw an email on his FB page indicating that he was fired for something he put on FB about 2 actors on the show. I hope that S&C can let the truth out since S8 has been announced as a, “go”, and the last. What does anyone think?
Well, mrsd79 has proved she is a tinhatter who only wants clout in her community and is willing to withhold information from her followers to keep them ignorant
Many of the new SamCait tinhat leaders seem to be willfully dishonest. And that really worries me. At least in the old days if Jess was publicly confronted with the fact that she withheld information, she would own it. Say what you will about Jess, but she made numerous public apologies over the years for some of her actions and was always willing to admit when she seriously doubted the ship. She had some integrity. Not this new group of SamCait huckster “leaders.”
In particular mrsd79 appears to be very happy to lead her followers off a cliff of misinformation. I’m not going to repeat the whole sordid story of what just happened between us again. Some of it can be found HERE. My DEBUNK of all of her “challenges” to me can be found here.
Most distressing is she used a reblog of MY post from one of her minions who had come up with what they thought was a “smoking gun” regarding a tweet about Tony, which mrsd79 declared was evidence of my “lame attempt to crush the truth.”
Mrsd79 refused to reblog my debunk of the alleged “smoking gun” and I had to watch in horror as her minions reblogged MY post with the misinformation on it.
She refused to respond to any of my tags about this and has now blocked me (and I returned the favor). So it is clear she has no intention of ever correcting the misinformation. That’s being deliberately dishonest.
So if you are a newbie fan please know this--mrsd79 is not to be trusted. She has an agenda. She is willing to withhold information that contradicts her position in order to build clout in her community.
Please newbie fans, don’t let the SamCait tinhatters suck you in to their nonsense. If you do, you will end up on a ship of heartache that goes nowhere. It is your choice to do so but you have been warned.
