Melone X Reader: Comfort

Note: This is yet again another repost...I have a bigger thing I just wrote a few days ago so think of these as little drabbles :)

You thought the day couldn’t get worse. How could you actually believe that? Somehow, you did, and it got you into a bigger mess than before. Heart shattered, you walk into the base, your eyes fixated on the ground as you feel everyone's eyes pierce you. You chose to ignore them, not wanting to talk right now. As tears well in your eyes you walk faster to your room, ignoring the questions going around the room. Varying from “what’s wrong with them?” to “Did something happen?”

You went into your room and closed the door. You made a beeline to your bed and curled up the dam breaking the moment you let your body feel the fabric of the sheets. You didn’t want anyone to see you like this, makeup running down your face as tears stained your pillow, the one you were hugging to your chest tightly. You hated showing this side of you to people. It made you feel weak...vulnerable even.

Suddenly, a knock at the door made your sobbing practically stop. “Just a minute!” You call, cursing your voice when it sounds hoarse and shaky. You quickly start wiping your face with your hands, trying to remove any trace of what took place.

You could’ve screamed when they opened the door. Well technically you *tried* but it came out as a weak whisper, so quiet you could barely hear it yourself. Melone walked in and closed the door behind himself before continuing to walk towards you, sitting down beside you. You couldn’t help but turn your face away from his, not wanting him to see you like this. “What’s wrong?..” Melone ask softly, worry prominent in his voice. Heaving out a sigh, you turn to him and show them your face as you shake your head “no..” You whisper, starting to sob again.

He lets out a small “aww baby..” and gently picks you up, setting you on his lap. He gets comfortable and holds you close, making sure you can hear his heartbeat, hoping it'll help soothe you. Starting to pet your hair again they fill the silence “You don’t have to tell me what happened... Just know it'll be okay baby. I swear it will. It might not be today, it might not be tomorrow, but one day. I don’t know how big or small of a thing it is that’s upsetting you, but it’ll get better. And~ I’ll be with you the whole way. You don’t have to face this alone, even if you think you can.” Melone kisses your head softly as he rocks you, smiling to himself when he feels you relax.

“I love you” is all you can whisper, turning your head and kissing his collarbone, wrapping your arms around him tightly “And I love you too baby. So much~” The both of you stayed like that for the rest of the night, falling asleep in each other's embrace after a short while.

Melone X Reader: Quiet times at the base

Notes: This is a reupload and yes, it's my writing and it's old so the more I upload the more you'll see my work improve ^-^

It was a quiet day in the base, Ghiaccio was surprisingly quiet, there were no games in the living room, and nobody was out. Well except for Melone. The purple-haired boy was on his computer, vigorously typing away with concentration written all over his face. Building up the courage, you decided to walk over to him, smiling shyly. His head perks up at the sound of your footfall. “Hi Y/n~” he purrs, his lips curling into a smile.

You walk over to him, a smile also on your face as you sit down beside him, resting your head on his shoulder as you look at his laptop screen. “Hi, Melone~ What're you doing here?” You see his eyes light up and he turns his laptop towards you a little so the both of you can see it. He looks over at you as he says “I’m finishing my work from last night. I decided to take advantage of the peace in the base. We don’t get it a lot with the others, especially when all of them are home” Melone sighs, taking his laptop off of his lap. Looking up at him as he turns away from you, you're finally able to take in his pretty face from another angle. The way his mask makes his face more defined and how beautifully his hair drapes down his neck. You get lost in thought, studying his face.

When you come back to reality, he’s looking at you with a grin “What’re you thinking about?~” He grabs your waist, pulling you onto his lap. You rest your head on his shoulder, smiling wide as you get a stronger whiff of his cologne. It smelled amazing, high quality no doubt. “You~” You whisper out, gently touching his hair as he smiles and brings a hand to your back, gently rubbing his hand up and down your spine lovingly. “You’re so cute. You know that, right?” He whispers back, closing his eyes contently. You can feel your face flush as he pulls you closer to his chest “Not as cute as you~” He gently kisses your temple. Both of you sit there happily, just enjoying each other's presence.
