Ok ya’ll, I may be a little (very) bias but I have to share this because God used this author to capture my heart and mind and brought me to the place I am now so completely captivated by God’s love and His word that I have to share. The author’s name is Ruth Chou Simons. She is the author and illustrator Gracelaced: Discovering Timeless Truths Through Seasons of the Heart (which I have purchased but not started). I recently read her Beholding and Becoming: The Art of Everyday Worship and I feel in love, not only with God but with myself. Ruth has a way of reminding you of whom you are in Christ and that you are human but you are worthy. I highly recommend these books for you, a family member or a friend. I would love to do a bible study with these books as well (hint hint)! Ruth even put together what she calls A Guided Companion for both of the books mentioned. They are great tolls for supporting the reading with question for you to ponder on and journal your thoughts. Plus, I just started on Ruth and her husband Troy’s launch team to their newest book Foundations: 12 Biblical Truths to Shape a Family. I have already pre-order my copy and I cannot wait to start reading it. From being a part of the launch team I have gotten to see a video about the book, participate in a Facebook live interview with Ruth and Troy and see a little behind the scenes of the pod cast they are going to be doing to go along with the book. I have to say I am so excited because they wrote this book together as devotionals you can do as a family with your children, as a couple, on your own, as a new believer or a veteran believer. It’s written for anyone and everyone who wants to grow deep in knowing God. I highly recommend looking into Ruth’s work and being captivated by God though her readings and her art.
