the frown on his lips curves deeper, forming the hints of a scowl. it isn't worth investing his irritation in the american - in fact, arthur's tempted to ignore him entirely. his gaze tries to fall on anything other than alfred rummaging through the contents of his refrigerator, tries to listen to the breeze outside instead of the just too loud sound of chewing. is he doing that on purpose ? he must be. how dare he.
" if you're going to raid my pantry, at least have the fucking decency to do so quietly, " arthur scolds, distaste clear in the slight scrunch of his nose. this isn't how he wanted to spend his afternoon. " or better yet, go elsewhere. "

Gilbert handed him a picture of an American, WW2-era airplane. “I need to fly one of these; a P-51 Mustang, preferably a working original and not a recreation. I need to do this before my inevitable death. I’ve already asked the American Air Force and they told me they just couldn’t ‘ressurrect a war plane from World War Two to fly for no reason’ but they definitely can and there is a definite reason. These were the best planes of the time, and I haven’t flown one yet, and that’s downright criminal. I need you to get me one that I can fly.”
“...I gotta know, if you’re, like, ALL of the U.S.A. do you get to even have a favorite spot or do you hafta say you like it all?”

“ i know you can’t come. i wasn’t asking you to do that. ” grantaire’s already gulping down his second bottle, heart clenching with the implications. enjolras was going to die, wasn’t he? “ i don’t think he would’ve let me call upon you either. even though it’s his favorite fighting out there. what a bunch of idealist idiots. ” he puts the empty bottle down on the table, reaching for a third. “ it’s happening this week. lamarque’s funeral are going to be used as the spark who will start the fire. but it won’t succeed. it never does. ”

he... didn’t expect that. “ i’m... oh yea, my coat would flatter that behind of yours delightfully... but what? ” he ignores the fact alfred knows he’s hiding something. he is. it probably shows at how his eyes darken. “ how immortal? ”

Let's go with that? You were either alive or not, but since he answered James, the guy had to be alive. "Me? I'm good." Thanks to being part supersoldier and therefore considerably more durable than the average human. Though, James thought he might have a broken rib (and some cuts and bruises, which didn’t even count), but that wasn't serious and would heal in a week or so. It hurt to breath, but it wasn't the first time he broke a rib and SHIELD had thought him to ignore pain.
The teen looked at the stones that were between him and the other guy. It shouldn't take too long to clear so that they at least could be trapped inside this tunnel together, plus James would then be able to evaluate how injured the other guy was. "I should be able to clear enough for me to get through in just a few minutes." James placed a hand on one of the old bricks. Or at least he thought it was brick.Thinking of it, they had been extremely lucky to have stumbled upon this tunnel, without it, they would most likely have died and this tunnel were ancient. James doubted anyone still alive knew it existed. The question was, where the hell did it lead and was there another way out, because the opening was completely shut and James doubted even him could clear that without causing the tunnel to collapse any further.
