Maybe the L/M poly would work better as a "V" poly and not a triad?

V was the number one choice with a triad being something that could happen in the future. M and L will happily share the MC if it makes them happy but will have to deal with their rivalry with each other and what they actually mean to each other outside of MC.

A L/M poly could probably be interesting

That is one of the first ones I put in my notes due to how they are so intertwined with the two phrases of their past. Also how L and M interact when it concerns MC or each other since they like do competitive mini games out of the MCs eye to see who is better. Also the existing of their personalities since they sit on the opposite ends. A V poly would be easier to obtain since they both care about the MC but it will be harder to do a triad since L and M have to learn that they don't have compete for their spot and that they do have things in common. It could cause some angst with them trying to figure out why they started to like their "rival" as they do MC.

But it's still in the planning stages.

How would M react if MC DID punch their soulmate?

They are a mess of emotions. The mortification but amazement at what you did is warring in their body and they just don't know what to do. But their body goes on autopilot and punch them as well for all their pain they caused. Two of you take off to escape from the situation and just digest over what you just did. M will start laughing at the absurdity before falling into a mess of tears over finally confronting their soulmate. They hug you tight while thanking you for what you did.

How would M, J and V react if they bumped into their old soulmate while out on a date with the MC?

M is grabbing you and booking it back to their place. They don't want to see them again after all of the years of wondering what horrible they done to draw such ire. They will start crying from the emotional overload and just need time to get themselves together. You could punch their soulmate if you so desire.

J 's soulmate would have to be a ghost for them to show up. J memories of them are bittersweet due to how the end of their relationship went down but they would like the MC to know about them. Just sharing little stories and photos of the time they spent together but J is most looking forward to making new ones with you.

V is mentally freaking out. They just feel awkward seeking their past and future colliding in front of them. They still feel guilty for what they did and actively avoiding their old soulmate. But you could mend the bridge between them (mainly V) and let them platonically reconnect.

What do each type of flower tattoos mean in regards to the emotions of the one who severed the bond? And what types do M and J have?

They are reflection of the one who sever the bond and why they would commit such an act. Generally the flowers are following the conventional flowers languages but it could ones that are more specific to someone's culture. It mainly ranges from pure hatred to sadness as not everybody is truly happy when the bond is severed. A mutual severed will have the flowers grow from the palm to about last the worst while the other type will have it grow to about midway the forearm.

M hate their marks for a reason. It's a daily reminder that their soulmate truly despised them despite being together for so long. They never even knew until they saw the marks showed up on their arms. They wonder what they had done to have caused so much anger and resentment in their soulmate. Candytufts (indifference), buttercups (childishness), orange lilies (hatred), tansy (hostile thoughts), petunias (resentment), and the crown one, the black rose (you're dead to me).

J is more sorrowful. Their soulmate could no longer be with them and they decided to sever their bond so that J could be happy. They were against the idea but relented after hearing their soulmate reasoning behind this decision. They still don't know how to feel despite how long ago it happened. Bleeding Heart (heartbreak), forget me not (remember me), purple hyacinth (sorrow and regret), desert rose (resilience and enduring) bellmore (hope and pain), and lily of the valley (return of happiness). These flowers are wilted for unknown reason that people around them don't understand but J secretly knows what it is in their heart.
