There is just too much to say about this article and Penn's killings and attacks, too many theories and questions swarming my brain. I am sorry, this is going to be a long post with more than will inevitably follow. I'm nerding out.
If you can't read what the article below says, which is the one Wednesday found after snooping through Ms. Capri's desk, I will write it out below in pink, and then a bullet-point summary in purple, you choose which to read:
'Deranged outcast artist shot dead by swat team
The saga of Outcast artist Alfie Penn reached a tragic conclusion late last night. After disappearing three weeks ago, the painter was found in a psychotic state at the Roosevelt County Landfill. When he refused to cooperate with authorities, he was killed by a state-ordered SWAT team.
This ends what was supposed to be a transformative summer for the artist. By all accounts, Penn was in good spirits when he took up residence at the Joplin Art Colony in Woodstock to develop his next solo exhibition. Cut off from the outside world, he focused on his creative ventures and ignored potential distractions, including a string of grisly deaths of fellow local artists. It eventually came to light that Penn himself was responsible for these deaths, under the hypnotic thrall of his agent, the controversial art impresario Minerva Garrick.
Complicating matters further was the revelation that Penn was a Hyde, a rare classification of Outcast capable of physically unleashing their inner rage and transforming into an imposing alternate form.
The situation took an even darker turn when Penn accidentally killed Garrick and brutally injured his final victim, renowned cellist Isadora Capri. After this incident, Penn disappeared into the woods of Catskill Park. Locals reported sightings of him raiding everything from convenience stores to livestock pens for...continued on page 7'
Alfie Penn's agent, and controversial art impresario, Minerva Garrick was Penn's master.
Penn was found after disappearing for 3 weeks.
Penn's refusal to cooperate with authorities lead to his death.
Minerva had ordered Penn to kill fellow local artists (why? Maybe to eliminate local competition? Not sure.)
(Ms. Capri, when talking to Wednesday, claims that Minerva ordered Penn to kill her, but here it does not explicitly say that she told him to, which means either the article left it out, or Ms. Capri was fabricating the truth, Just a theory.) Penn ends up brutally injuring Isadora Capri.
Isadora is mentioned here as a cellist, not a pianist.
Since the article did not explicitly say that Minerva Garrick ordered Alfie Penn, the man that Isadora thought loved her, to kill her, as I mentioned above, we can assume a few things;
That Isadora made that part up for multiple reasons, either to cope with the fact that the man she was with seriously hurt her, or because
Not to mention that since Minerva was killed before Isadora was injured, how could Penn have been ordered to attack Isadora? Don't worry, this could easily be explained by the possibility of Minerva ordering the attack on Isadora prior to her own death. If this was the case, then we can assume that Minerva wanted Isadora dead like the other local artists for a reason, which again, could just be to eliminate local competition, or what if that was just what they want us to think? What if there is more to it? what if this whole chain of events was why Isadora as we, the audience, know her is a pianist, and no longer a cellist?
So far, we can only speculate why Isadora is no longer seen playing the cello. Of course, there could be a simple explanation, such as the fact that she might associate the cello with such a traumatic time of her life. But then why did she become a music teacher, surrounded by cellists, such as Wednesday Addams, constantly forced to remember her past? Then what else could it be? Maybe the cello is somehow dangerous to her, not in the traumatic sense, but Minerva clearly wanted her to stop playing for a reason...
If we're running with my theory that Minerva wanted Isadora to stop playing the cello, then what where the other local artists playing? Why was Minerva determined to kill them all? Was it merely to eliminate local competition? It must go deeper than this.
Ugh, Isadorable Capri, I love you, you did not deserve this (3 apples tall btw)
Just letting you guys know I am working on a Isadora Capri x platonic!reader fic, where reader is one of her students and gets sick. Sorry it’s taking a while at the moment is 2.5k words and it’s still not done yet.
I want to thank everyone for their continued patience with my slow posting of fics. There is more coming soon I promise.
In the mean time enjoy this meme I made of Ms Capri.
The futur is uncertain. It is always changing, impossible to predict. Or at least, that is what most people think. For Evelyn, the futur is something she is most familiar with. But there was no way in hell she could have predicted this.

In the eye of the storm, she will find her oasis

- A/N - First of, thank you for your patience, juggling the end of term, work and the fact that I tore my MCL made finding time to write pretty hard. I'm trying my best and I hope you'll bear with me for what's still in store for this story!
Evelyn stood alone, in a long corridor lined with cells. A loud, familiar roar, which sent a jolt of panic up her spine, bounced against the walls. A wolf at the end of the corridor. A loud bark, then it took off.
A room with machines, a name written on the wall, Lois. Cell doors lined up, screams and pleas echoing all around, so much sadness. On one of the machines, a crow, its eye white, scarred. Another flash, another hallway, a tall window, Wednesday Addams standing in front of it and at the other end of the corridor, a grotesque creature, the hyde.
Suddenly, the contact was severed between Evelyn and Wednesday. When the blonde opened her eyes, she was met with a wide eyed young woman. For the first time, she could see something akin to vulnerability haunting those normally lifeless eyes. She reached out again, only for Wednesday to move her hand rapidly away, stunning the older woman.
“Thank you Miss Rostand.” She said getting up stiffly. “This has been most insightful.” She said, walking rapidly towards the door and leaving before Evelyn had the chance to add anything.
Then again, she didn’t know what she could possibly say. She had no idea what or where this place was, but all she knew was that it was somehow connected to the avian that had attacked her, and that her student was most likely in danger. So Evelyn did what she found the most logical, even if she had been dreading this moment for a while now. She went to principal Weems.
Normally, she would have laughed at Larissa’s expression. It wasn’t often that the tall rigid woman was taken by surprise and usually Evelyn was proud whenever she managed to break her carefully controlled exterior. But with their last interaction, Evelyn was certainly not happy to have to reach out to the woman.
“Evelyn, I wasn’t expecting you today.” She said, in a surprised tone.
“This is not a friendly visit,” She said, her tone sharp. “We need to talk about Miss Addams.”
Larissa exhaled loudly. “Of course, come in.” The principal’s quarters were somewhat of a myth amongst the people of Nevermore. Few were the ones invited in the confines of the principal’s quarters, and unfortunately for them, it was never a good thing whenever you were summoned there.
For Evelyn it was different. She had never been scared of Larissa Weems, nor was she intimidated by her status as the principal. So when the taller woman opened her door to let her pass, it was with confident strides that she entered the woman’s lair.
“This has gotten out of hand.” She said, making herself comfortable on the older woman’s couch. The space was as regal and polished as the woman inhabiting it, but Evelyn did not linger on the details of the new found space. She wanted to spend as little time as she could with the principal, therefore, she had to jump straight into the heart of the matter.
“Wednesday Addams has been conducting her own investigation regarding Sheriff Galpin’s demise and the murderous flock of crows.” She began. “And somehow, she has lost her sight and she was at my door asking me to help her regain her abilities.”
Larissa stood in the middle of her living room, not sure how to react to the sudden appearance of the blonde in her living space. “ Did you?” She asked, perplexed.
Evelyn raised her brow “ That is why you brought me here, no?” She asked condescendingly, “You needed another seer to entertain the Addams girl, don’t be surprised when she comes knocking at my door demanding advise.” Evelyn said. She had never been a venomous person, but in this particular case, when she still felt used and betrayed by someone she trusted, she allowed herself to be a little more cutthroat.
“What happened?” Larissa said, taking a seat on the chair opposite to the history teacher.
“She came to me asking if I could use my sight to find out why she had lost hers. The girl is desperate to regain her abilities. I refused the first time, but then she came back.”
Evelyn paused, loving how powerless the older woman looked. “Today she barged into my quarters again, unveiling details about her investigation that worried me greatly.” Evelyn said, putting aside her own feelings to try and focus on the matter at hand.
“So in order to understand the situation better, I had to see for myself.” Evelyn launched into a detailed explanation of what she had witnessed in her vision, and of what Wednesday had shared with her. Deep down, she knew the young girl was holding back crucial facts, manipulating the truth expertly in order to obtain exactly what she needed from her. She was smart, driven and reckless, a very dangerous mix.
“Do you know of any places that could correspond to the one I have seen?”
Larissa took a second to think. Evelyn could see the dilemma forming in her eyes. The principal is a very secretive woman, comfortable in her scheming and plotting. Sharing information, working with other parties, trusting someone else with her plans, this was clearly something that required a great deal of effort.
But somehow, the clear struggle in the woman's eyes did not wake even an ounce of pity in the seer. This was the ultimate test for her. She waited patiently, legs crossed, head tilted and her haunting gaze fixed on her old professor.
Finally, a sigh, a sort of surrender from the taller woman. She slouched in her chair. This was the first time Evelyn saw her old professor’s facade break. “The place you speak of,” She started, stopping herself mid-sentence, as if her own body was blocking her mind from unveiling what she knew. But she went on nonetheless. “ It could very well be the Willow Hill institute.”
“Why in the world would Wednesday end up at the Willow Hill Institute.” Evelyn asked perplexed.
“Your guess is as good as mine, Evelyn.” Larissa said, her hands coming up to rub at her temples. “She has a way of appearing wherever trouble happens.”
“Well, as of right now, I believe her investigation is at a dead end, which could mean two things.” Evelyn said, worry steadily growing inside her. “Either she halts her search, or she will resort to desperate measures to seek the truth.”
“And we both know which is more likely.” The silence that followed this knowledge was heavy, the only sound being the crackling of the fireplace.
“I’ll keep an eye on the girl.” Evelyn declared, standing up swiftly. “She needs me, for my ability, she’ll be back, I’ll keep her close.”
“Wait,” Larissa said, getting up with you. “Evelyn please I… ,” She stopped once again. Evelyn froze, a hand near the door, ready the exit at any instant.
“Thank you for coming to me.” She finally said. They both knew that this was not what Evelyn wanted to hear. This was not what needed to be said, but the woman was too proud to apologize and sadly, Evelyn wasn’t surprised. She exited the room feeling more drained than she had in a long time.
Evelyn’s leg kept bouncing under her desk. Thursday was her slow day. With only one class to teach around mid day, she had plenty of time for correction and lesson planning. Normally, she would either put on a little music on the record player in her classroom and work from there, or she would commandeer one of the students' desks in the music room and work with the music professor on her free periods. Today though, Isadora had engagements with the gala’s orchestra and plenty of private lessons to get out of the way. This meant not seeing the alluring woman before late during the evening, when she would be back from the institute.
Sure Evelyn was unhappy with the fact that she wouldn’t get the chance to see Isadora today, but this was not why she felt so uneasy. There was something lingering in the air around her. A feeling akin to anticipation, like something could jump out at any moment. Evelyn had the feeling that today wasn’t like any day, and she didn’t not like this one bit.
By the end of the afternoon, the seer’s heart was beating at an abnormally high pace. She could not stand still, she was left alone, in her quarters, pacing, a cup of tea in hand. If she kept at it much longer, there was a very high chance the floor boards underneath her feet would bare the marks of her pacing.
The sound of a door closing pulled the blonde out of her stupor. She lunged towards the door, pulling it open and startling the head of music.
Isadora’s hand shot up clenching her necklace while a gasp escaped her lips. “Eve, you almost killed me!” She said, her eyes wide and fingers fidgeting with her necklace.
“I’m sorry, I just…” she was out of breath, and she didn’t know why. Her eyes raked over the woman’s silhouette. She looked so good. The familiar leopard print blouse hugged her figure so well and showed a tasteful amount of cleavage. Evelyn momentarily forgot why she had burst out of her quarters and promptly pulled the older woman in for a bruising kiss.
Isadora’s surprise quickly turned into a pleased groan as she dropped her handbag in order to tangle her hands in blonde locks. It would be so easy for the redhead to get lost in the softness of Evelyn’s lips, but a small, anxious voice inside her head had to remind her that she was expected, and she was late.
“Slow down darling,” she said, a hand of the blonde’s heaving chest. Isadora paused, her heightened senses pickling up on the frantic beat of the seer’s heart. “Evelyn what’s wrong?” she asked, her eyes narrowing with worry.
Evelyn looked down at the delicate hand resting on her chest, then back up to those wide honey eyes. “Just… be careful tonight, something isn’t right, I can feel it.”
Isadora took the blonde’s cold hand in hers, bringing it to her lips. “I will be, thank you.” She picked up her bag and gave her hand one last squeeze.
“I’m running late now, can I come over when I get back?” She asked, her voice getting smaller.
Evelyn smiled. “Of course, I’ll leave the door unlocked in case you get back after I turn in.” She watched the older woman walk away hastily, the same feeling of unease lingering in her mind. But still the seer stepped back into her space, doing her best to focus her energy into something productive instead.
She had finally settled at her desk, lesson plans scattered all around her, when frantic knocks resonated in the quiet space. Her heart jumped in her chest. There was something wrong, and it was beginning to unfold.
There was a young girl at her door. Eyes wide, flaming red hair and a panicked look on her face. “Wednesday is in Willow Hill, something is going on over there. She said to tell you if anything happened.”
Of course she was. Evelyn closed her eyes for a second, a flash of pain echoing behind her eye. She knew that pain, and she did not like it one bit. “ Go to Weems, tell her I left already, tell her everything you know and stay put.” Evelyn said, grabbing her jacket and closing the door behind her.
“Miss Rostand…?” Evelyn turned around, suddenly realizing how confused the young girl must be. She stopped, trying to school away the frantic expression on her face. “What’s your name?”
“Agnes.”
“Listen Agnes, I have a feeling that someone needs to go over there right away. What I need you to do is notice the principal that something is wrong at Willow Hill and Wednesday Addams is involved. Tell her that I am already on my way over there. She’ll know what to do ok?.” She said slower, making sure the girl understood what she needed of her. “You did well coming to me, Agnes.”
She said leaving towards the nurse practitioner's quarters. When she reached his quarters, the man opened the door before she could even knock.
“Here,” he said, handing her the keys to his car. “I could hear your thoughts from across the wing.” he said, with an apologetic look, but right now, Evelyn did not care for the privacy of her mind, she was glad she did not need to explain anything.
She had no recollection of the road to the institute, nor did she know just how she knew the way to this place without even having heard of it. There was no one at the gate, which made the blonde’s heart plummet down. All the lights were out, giving the massive building this air of menace.
From outside, Evelyn could hear the faint screams coming from the building. She rushed inside, her heart torn between finding her student , or finding Isadora. She knew what she needed to do. Isadora was a big girl, she could handle herself, she needed to focus on the young psychic. She took a deep breath, closing her eyes and trying to tune out all the noise around.
A flash blinded her sight. The same room with all the cells. The same name on the wall, and that awful feeling, pulling her forward in the depths of the institute. It was chaos all around, people screaming and running towards the closest exit. The patient doors had all been released, creating a kind of dizzying chaos. But still Evelyn followed her guts and advanced. The deeper she went, the less people passed her, to the point where the history professor was left alone in the dark corridors.
The silence was oppressive, as if the building itself was holding its breath. As soon as she set foot in the hallway, she was hit with a familiar sense, like she’d been here before. At the other end of the hallway stood a woman. She looked disheveled, in bad shape with a girl at her side, supporting her.
Relief flooded the blonde as she carefully made her way towards the women. “Miss Addams, we need to get out of here, now.” Evelyn said, her voice sharp. Now was not the time to linger on the exact reasons of her presence within these walls, or the identity of the woman by her side. The urgency was to get the young girl out of this place, and fast, because if Evelyn was right, according to her vision, nothing good would come from them lingering in this hallway.
Right as the thought floated in her mind, a deep guttural growl echoed in the space. “ Wednesday, get out now.” But the younger woman did not move.
“He’s out,” She said, her tone a lot more calm and in control than it should be. She didn’t move, an expression on her face that could only mean a bigger headache for Evelyn. She turned around, facing the girl, trying to convey as much firmness in her voice as she could.
“Get out, Now.” Wednesday froze. Evelyn Rostand was not a particularly intimidating woman, but in this instant, with her mismatched eyes piercing through her, Wednesday recognized that she could not ignore the command she had been given. She turned around, escorting the woman outside.
Isadora stood outside the institute. The eerie red emergency lights illuminating the windows, giving the already strange place a haunting look. She watched as the patients and staff pooled out of every entrance. She had narrowly escaped the frenzy, but now that she was outside, safe, all her senses were on high alert.
A familiar silhouette captured her attention. She’d recognize those braids anywhere. Her anxiety spiked. She made her way through the crowd, reaching her student.
“Miss Addams what in the love of god are you doing here.” She asked, anger seeping in her tone.
“No time for such explanations.” She said, her eyes serious. “Miss Rostand is inside, she’s in a perilous predicament.”
Her heart stopped. Evelyn was here, alone. She focused her senses seeking the familiar scent of the woman she had grown so attached to. It was faint, but there, but it was something else that caught her attention. A foul stench, something primal, dangerous. Isadora knew that smell well, and the recognition made her blood curdle. She didn’t think, she just ran.
Evelyn watched as the tall, deformed shadow stretched on the wall. She was frozen in place, stuck between the visceral need to run, and the paralyzing fear that bolted her feet to the ground. A deafening roar shook her to her core. The sound sent a shiver down her spine, which pulled her out of her torpor. She had hoped that she would only come face to face with this beast in her vision. Hell, the sight of it in her mind was enough to rattle her. But now, she was face to face with it, and all logic flew out of the window.
It turned towards her, its massive frame barely fitting in the hallway. She knew it could see her, its grotesque, bulging eyes fixed on her. She didn’t move, some part of her brain wondering if she could escape its wrath by staying completely still. But of course it could not be as simple as this. The hyde roared and launched itself in the narrow corridor, destroying the ceiling arches on its wake. Evelyn finally moved, just in time to get herself out of the way before the beast reached her.
She ran down the other way, her heart echoing her rapid steps. She knew it was getting close. She could hear its frantic breath, feel the impact of each of its steps. She ducted down, narrowly missing the swipe of its claws. She veered into a narrow corridor, the beast still on her tail. Over all the noise, she heard Isadora's voice. She called her name with such fear clinging to it. Evelyn’s feet ran towards it. Isadora meant safety, it meant that she had a chance to escape this thing.
Behind her the hyde was getting more and more frantic. Frustrated by its inability to reach her. It roared again, hitting the wall with its fist, sending ceramic and wood splinters towards the blonde. A piece hit her leg, embedding itself in her calf, sending her to the ground with a pained scream. She had been so close to the exit. She could see the police light at the end of the main hallway. She could hear the steps of the officers running towards the commotion. But the monster was towering over her now, its massive clawed hands wrapping around her body and lifting her from the ground, squeezing so hard she heard her own ribs crack.
Shouts echoed from across the hallway, one voice clearer above all. “ Evelyn!”
The creature’s focus faltered for a second, its bulging eyes shifting towards the werewolf, her presence and scent further antagonizing the beast. Its grip tightened around her, pulling a pained scream from her lips.
Isadora froze at the sight. The hyde was now looking straight at her, with Evelyn still in its grasp. She knew how volatile and impulsive these things could be. So she moved slowly towards them. But it seemed her werewolf scent alone was enough to unsettle it further. It roared towards her, exposing its horrible sharp teeth.
Behind her, the fleet of armed officers stopped, their weapons raised and ready. Isadora could feel their fear rising, and fear, in situations like these, more often than not lead to impulsive and uncalculated decisions, like firing your gun at a very unstable creature.
A rookie most likely. A young man who had never seen, even in his worst nightmares, such an evil looking creature. He had let his fear dictate his actions, without thinking of the dire consequence they could bring.
The shot resonated in the corridor, and hit the hyde in its shoulder. Isadora watched it all in slow motion. They way the creature lost all its inhibitions. How it dropped Evelyn’s body to focus entirely on its new targets. She was motionless on the ground, and now that she was out of the hyde’s grasp, officers discharged their weapons on the beast, driving it to escape through the window.
Everything became still again, eerily so. No one dared move an inch. Isadora’s ears were ringing from gunshots, but her mind kept replaying Evelyn’s scream. She wasn’t moving. Isadora listened for a heart beat, finding a faint one. She had to get her out of here, and fast.
. She doesn’t understand the appeal of running. Sure whenever she’s out on the full moon, she enjoys running around in the forest to get all her pent up energy out, but that’s in her wolf form, and only once a month.
. Most mornings, she wakes up to an empty bed and a sweet little note saying you’ll be back in an hour. She makes sure fresh coffee is brewing and breakfast started when you get back.
. She refuses to hug you before you take a shower, which results in you chasing her in your little loft, trying to trap her in your sweaty arms.
. When you tell her you registered for the Jericho marathon, she looks at you like you’ve grown a second head. It's pretty fitting she thinks, since you are the phys ed's teacher, but still, there are limits to wanting to torture yourself that much.
. She might not understand why you love running so much, but she’s the most supportive girlfriend.
. She makes you a playlist that follows the tempo of your goal time for your race, so all you’ll have to do is follow the beat of the songs while running.
. She updates it often so you always have something different to listen to when you’re out training.
. She bought little packs of electrolytes that she hides in your desk and in you office.
. When you reach the last stretch of your training, and your limbs are stuck in a perpetual soreness that makes everyday tasks hard. She draws you warm baths and offers to massage away your pain and helps you relax... In whatever way you need.
. The race is in the fall, and on race day, she's there at the starting line, bundled up in warm clothes, cheering and jumping up and down her beautiful curls bouncing in the wind. You're smiling, so caught up in her beauty that you almost miss the start.
. She the first thing you look for when the finish line appears at the end. She's not hard to pick out in a crowd, her flowing copper curls the perfect land mark. But what completely baffles you, is that she had managed to tell half of the school about your achievement. And now she wasn't the only one cheering for you. All your students were present with signs, bells and various noisy items, making sure their teacher knew just how much they appreciate her and admire her.
. You run straight to her when you cross the finish line, and this time, she doesn't push you away because of how sweaty you are . You're beaming, lifting her up and twirling her around, before letting her go and giving her a quick kiss (kept it pg-13 with all your students around.)
. You will make sure she knows how much you love and appreciate her later tonight, the confines of your shared quarters ;)

In the eye of the storm, she will find her oasis
18+ oh it's filthy... yes ma'am
Evelyn's back connected with the door so hard her breath knocked out of her, but breathing was certainly not her priority at the moment, not when she had the head of music pressed against her, her hands pulling frantically at her clothes.
She barely had the time to get her breathing back to a semblance of normality before Isadora's lips collided with hers once more.
The kiss was hungry, desperate, it burnt with all the desires they had kept buried within, but now the gates were opened, and everything was flooding out. Isadora's tongue darted out, licking her bottom lip then biting down slightly. Evelyn whimpered, her knees buckling under her.
The hard surface behind her and the steady hands at her waist held her up, as she reached up and tangled her hands in her copper strands. She pulled the clip out of Isadora's hair, letting it fall loose on her shoulders.
She pulled away, her breath ragged and her eyes so darker with desire Evelyn moaned at the sight. She looked wild, untamable and positively ravenous.
She raised her hand, her fingers brushing away a strand of blonde hair which had escaped from her bun, her fingers caressing down her cheek, following her jaw line and the column of her neck, to finally settle at the base. Her fingers wrapped along her delicate throat, without applying pressure, but steady enough for the younger woman to know who was truly in control.
"If you want to come in, you're gonna have to let me open the door darling." She whispered, her hand gliding down on her heaving chest, before putting some distance between her and the history professor. It took a second for Evelyn to register the words, but she eventually moved away from the door.
The room looked different at night. The floor to ceiling windows let the moonlight filter in, giving the room a surreal look. Isadora stepped in and walked straight to the dresser, where a few candles were lying around.
She lit a few, bathing the room in a warm glow. It was just bright enough for Evelyn to be able to see clearly, and gave the space a very warm, hypothesizing feeling.
Isadora stalked closer, coming face to face with the younger woman, who was currently struggling to keep a modicum of control.
She circled around her, positioning herself right behind her, her hands on her hips, holding her in place. She could feel her breath brush against the skin of her neck before soft lips made contact, raising goose bumps along the way. She reached the shell of her ear, where she nibbled softly. "What are you waiting for, Evelyn?" She whispered.
That was all the blonde needed. She spun around, pulling her in a bruising kiss. Isadora groaned against her, but the sound was swallowed by her eager lips.
She grabbing her hand and guiding her to the sofa, where she sat and dragged the older woman down on top of her.
The weight of her felt divine, and the view, oh it took her breath away. Evelyn didn't get much time to admire her, because her sight was soon obstructed by her sweater being gently pulled off of her.
Unwilling to offer the same courtesy to her white shirt, Isadora simply gripped both sides and ripped it open, not caring about the flying buttons or Evelyn's indignant face. " I'll lend you one of mine," she said, before connecting their lips once again.
This time, the kiss was slower, but still burned with unbridled passion and heat. Isadora took her time mapping out her lips, memorizing her taste, and swallowed every little whimper escaping the blonde's lips. Her hands that were resting on her shoulders glided down, brushing against the flush skin of her chest, and raking down Evelyn's hard abdomen. The younger woman moaned at the feeling of her nails scratching her skin.
Evelyn's fingers clumsily reached for the buttons of Isadora's blouse, but the older woman caught her hands and laid them on her thighs. She leaned away, smiling at the needy whimper that escaped Evelyn's lips. " Don't move." She said, her voice leaving no space for arguments.
She gave the younger woman one last kiss before leaning back once again, her fingers slowly unbuttoning her blouse one by one.
Even if Evelyn wanted to move, she was frozen in place, hypnotized by the divine sight before her. Those beautiful dark eyes pinned her right there, and all she could do was watch. It took so much out of her to leave her hands on her thighs, every single ounce of control left inside her was focused on this simplest task. She finally slipped the garment off her shoulders, leaving her in her bra and jeans.
Evelyn moaned at the sight, her grip tightening on her thighs, making the woman on top of her sigh. "Please..."
The plea was soft, barely understandable if it weren't for Isadora's heightened senses. "Please what darling."
"I want to touch you." Evelyn whispered, her eyes so full of need it shocked the redhead. She took one of her hands and brought it to her mouth, where she left open mouthed kisses on her fingers, her eyes never leaving Evelyn's mismatched ones.
"Isadora please, let me, please."
"How can I say no when you beg so nicely." She said, guiding your hand on her chest. At the contact, Evelyn lost all inhibitions. Her hand that was laying on her thigh flew to her back and quickly unhooked her bra. The piece of fabric was hastily disposed of and her hand slid down to the woman's side and settled on her hips. Her eyes had found Isadora's chest and she looked up a question in her eyes.
The answer came in the form of Isadora's hands tangling in her soft curls and dragging her towards her breast. Without any hesitation, Evelyn started peppering wet kisses, and nibbling away at the new expense of skin.
Isadora's back arched, pushing herself closer to the professor. The deep groan that escaped her was enough to make her go wild. She sucked harshly, making sure to leave her make on her milky skin.
The hands in her hair tightened, encouraging her to slowly inch lower, where her hardened nipples lay waiting. She pulled one between her lips, kissing it softly, showing a lot more control than she thought she had.
But Isadora wasn't as patient as she had been. She pulled her hair, detaching her lips from her chest. "Take everything you need." She said, her eyes burning with desire.Evelyn did not need more incentives. She dove back in, scraping her teeth on her nipple and sucking it in, while her other hand busied itself with her other breast. She nibbled and sucked, the mix of pain and pleasure intoxicating.
Evelyn let her nipple go with a little pop, before switching, giving the same kind of attention to the other one. Isadora gasped, her tongue relentless on her skin sending jolts of pleasure through her whole body. Evelyn's hands slowly made their descent, going down the smooth skin of her abdomen before reaching down to the zipper of her jeans.
Isadora stood up, ignoring the whine of disapproval coming from Evelyn and lowered her jeans, leaving her in only her panties. She then walked towards her again, and reached down in order to rid the younger woman of her pants as well, before walking back a little bit just so she could see the mess she had created.
Isadora smiled at the sight.
Evelyn Rostand. The serious, mysterious Outcast History professor. The seemingly untouchable seer, left a half naked, begging mess on her couch. A sight to behold.
She climbed back on the blonde, lowering herself on one of her muscular thighs. The contact pulled a loud moan from both women, which was swallowed by another hungry kiss.
Evelyn could feel just how much the older woman was affected. It made her feel dizzy with want. She grabbed her hips and guided her into a slow grind, helping her smear her wetness on her thigh.
Her gaze was stuck there, admiring the movement of her hips, and the wet sheen left on her. She felt warm fingers lift her chin, and soft lips brush against the shell of her ear. Soft whimpers echoed against her, which fuelled her further, wanting to hear more of those melodic sounds.
Her hand brushed her inner thighs, pulling her panties aside and gliding through her slick heat, making the woman on top of her gasp.
Her hips rocked harder against her hand seeking more friction. Evelyn's finger soon found her clit and began to draw tight circles, drawing a wanton moan from the head of music.
"Evelyn," She whispered her name with so much need, "I need you now." She said, her tone sharp and demanding. The last thing Evelyn wanted, was to make the musician wait any longer.
She slid two fingers forward, entering her in a smooth motion. Evelyn kissed her, swallowing the loud moan that escaped her lips. The kiss was messy, hungry, and consuming. Isadora pulled away slightly, leaning her forehead against the blonde's.
Her breath came in ragged gasps as she could feel the pleasure climbing within her. Her hips became more demanding, more frantic, as she rode her fingers frantically. Evelyn let her control the pace, letting her use her as she pleased, admiring the way the musician took what she needed without shame, owning her pleasure fully.
Isadora's orgasm creeped in on her, growing steadily until the pressure became too much. Her hips stuttered, relief flooding her body, overwhelming her senses and making her lose all her control. Her head dropped in the crook of the blonde's neck, biting down, hard.
Evelyn moaned loudly, loving the mix of pain and the pleasure that coursed through her at the knowledge that she had this beautiful woman completely unraveling on top of her.
Slowly, the older woman's hips slowed to a deep grind. She pulled away, still panting , looking like a true goddess, all wild and inhibited. Evelyn was starstruck, in complete awe of her. She was at her mercy, ready to burn for her.
And just when she thought this moment could not get any more overwhelming, Isadora rose from her lap, and kneeled in front of her.
Evelyn's jaw was on the floor.
Isadora reached for the hand that had just been between her legs and pulled her fingers between her lips, sucking her juice from them.
Evelyn must've died that night at the camp, or maybe she was still asleep, because there was no way that this was the reality and not a fragment of her deepest filthiest fantasies.
She let her fingers go with a lude pop and Evelyn reached for the back of her neck to bring their lips together. Her tongue darted out licking into her needing to taste her on her tongue. A hand pushed her back, pinning her to the sofa.
She gasped at the strength as she collided with the backrest. Isadora looked up, and the sheer hunger in her gaze struck her deep, igniting something low in her stomach.
Her hands landed on the blonde's thighs and glided up until they reached the blonde's thong. Evelyn lifted her hips allowing her to slide the ruined garment off of her. Her nails dug in her thighs and pulled them apart, exposing her dripping center.
The scent hit the redhead, and her mind went blank. Evelyn saw the change in her eyes, they went impossibly darker and unfocused. She leaned down kissing inside her thighs, nibbling at the skin and marking her.
Hands tangled in copper strands, guiding her head where Evelyn desperately needed her. Isadora did not resist, diving in like a starved woman. She lapped greedily, tongue pushing between her lips and moaning at the taste. The sound reverberated through the blonde, making her gasp.
Evelyn's head flew back as a loud moan echoed in the room. She had never been one to be loud in bed, but Isadora seemed to be hellbent on shattering her own certainties.
She had no mercy, like she could not afford to waste a single drop. She groaned against Evelyn's clit, the vibration sending jolts through her. Her own body was in overdrive, heat and tension flowing through her muscles and making her lose her grip on reality.
Isadora clung to her thighs like it was the only thing that anchored her in the moment, keeping Evelyn's legs spread without any difficulty.
She peaked down at the older woman, and the sight alone threw her over the edge. Her eyes were unfocused, feral. She was drunk on her, completely taken by her taste. She groaned deeply as she kept eating her out like it was what she was put on the earth to do. Isadora knew that from this moment, she was ruined. She was right where she belonged, and she could stay here for hours, lost in the taste and scent of her.
Evelyn's hand flew to her mouth, muffling her cries as her orgasm crashed hards. Isadora slowed down helping the blonde come down slowly, but she did not stop.
She kept lapping at her heat, quickly building the professor up for a second one.
"Isadora, please I can't..." She whined, her hand tangling in soft curls and pulling slightly. She groaned, her nails digging in her thighs, sending a shock through her body.
"Yes you can darling, I know you can." She whispered against her heat. "One more for me please, can you do that?" She asked in an almost condescending tone. Evelyn nodded quickly, already feeling the high crawling back up her spine.
It didn't take long for Evelyn to fall over the edge once more, and this time, she practically had to pry the woman away from her. She looked completely feral, her chin and lips glistening with her slick. She pulled her up and connected her lips in a hungry kiss, tasting herself on the redhead's tongue.
Isadora pulled away and stood up, in all her glory. "Get up, I am not done with you yet."
Evelyn usually woke up before the sun, her quarters always pitch black, thanks to her blackout curtains that didn't even let the moonlight peek through. But this morning was quite different. The bright morning light was shining right in the blonde's face as she groaned and buried her face deeper into the warmth of her bed. But something was off, this did not feel like her own bed.
The sheets were silky smooth, nothing to do with the basic cotton sheets of her bed, but the most noticeable difference was the fact that she currently had her face buried in someone's neck. Someone, who smelled like the forest and amber. She was so warm, so soft, and Evelyn could feel herself melt at the feeling of her arms wrapped around her body, pulling her closer in her sleep.
She ran her hand on her midriff, wrapping around the older woman and letting herself drift deeper in this blissful state.
Isadora stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open only to have her line of sight completely obstructed by a wild mane of blonde curls. She pulled one of her arms free to brush away the honey colored strands. The woman on top of her stirred , a soft sigh escaping her lips and tickling the ginger slightly. Isadora froze at the movement. The woman currently lying on her was bare, the covers had lowered, showing off the bare skin of her back, where an array of tattoos littered the smooth skin.
She took a deep calming breath, attempting to tame her rapidly growing desire. The arm which was wrapped around her back slid up slowly, living goosebumps in their wake. A soft moan escaped the blonde's lips at the touch.
"I didn't know you had tattoos." Isadora whispered, tracing the designs with the tips of her fingers.
"Only on my back."
"It's beautiful, like a canvas." She traced the letters etched on her ribs. "Hard work conquers all"
"You speak latin?"
"A lot of early music was written in latin, darling." The nickname had the blonde's cheek grow warm. She buried her face deeper, if that was even possible.
"That's attractive." She said, her voice muffled. Isadora laughed fondly .
"Do they all have a special meaning?"
"Mhm,"
"What about this one," Sha asked, her fingers moving towards the fern leaf on her shoulderblade.
"My dad..." Evelyn started, her voice a little shaky, "He was a simple man, he loved the woods, spent most of his free time hiking and taking care of the little forest at the back of our house. He used to show me the different plants and trees. For some reason, he loves ferns the most." She said, pulling herself up and resting her chin on the older woman's chest, so she could look her in the eyes. "How can you look this divine so early in the morning?"
Isadora giggled slightly, but her laugh morphed into a pleasurable sight when she felt warm lips leaving kisses on her breast. "Evelyn, don't you have a class to teach in an hour?" She said, already breathless.
"Hmm, don't worry, I won't take long, I'm a hard worker." She said with a smirk, slowly trailing down her body.
Evelyn was always put together, always in one of her crisp suits, hair and makeup on point, always early in her class and ready when the first student would cross the threshold. But this morning was different.
Evelyn barely made it on time to her own class, her suit slightly rumpled and her hair pulled up hastily with what she would realize later was Isadora's clip. The looks on her students' faces were comical to say the least. They had never seen their teacher this disorganized before. Most of them shrugged it off, but two girls did not let this matter go so easily.
"Something is going on with Miss Rostand." Enid pointed out, her eyes narrowing, analysing the woman before her, her flushed cheeks, the way the collar of her shirt was awkwardly stuck inside her jacket, the darker spot on her neck that she had clearly tried to hide.
Enid recognized the signs, and a wide smile broke on her features. "Miss Rostand's getting some." She heard Bianca's laugh behind her and turned around. "I mean, look at her." She said with a smile. "She's glowing."
"Miss Sinclair, Miss Barclay, do you have a question regarding the class?" Evelyn asked, her brow raised. The young werewolf turned around sheepishly. "No Miss, sorry."
The rest of the class passed in a blur for the professor. She had not planned anything for her first period so she had to improvise on the spot, but she found that these type of classes always ended up being the ones the students participated in the most. It's like they can feel how much the professor was dedicated to her subject.
Lunch arrived without the blonde looking at her watch. The only indicator was the feeling of hunger growing with every dissertation she corrected. But she could not let this surge of productivity go to waste, so she pushed through the hunger and kept working. Just before her first afternoon class, David came around with lunch, saying that he had spoken with the music teacher and they had a feeling that she wouldn't have eaten anything. She smiled at how much the two knew her and took the time to eat and chat with the nurse before her next period.
Evelyn was relieved to see that Isadora had started her morning routine again. She made sure to reach the lake before the blonde. That way she could make sure Evelyn was safe and walk back to the academy with her. She had missed their moments together on the shore, coffee in hand and warmth in their hearts.
"Thursday night, I have to go to the Willow Hill institute. I promised Doctor Fairburn that I would give a little music class to some of the patients." Isadora said, walking beside the blond, her coffee cup held snuggly between her two hands.
Evelyn went rigid. Doctor Fairburn. That was the woman she had seen at the camp, the one that had stood so close to the musician, touched her arm and let her hand linger before leaving. Isadora glanced towards the blonde, how her jaw had clenched, how her eyes had grown darker. A smirk pulled at her lips. "What's the matter darling?"
Evelyn's cheeks burnt at getting caught. "Nothing."
Isadora giggled." Territorial much are we."
"Look who's talking." She retorted.
The older woman stopped, angling herself towards the blonde. "What can I say, I don't like when people mess with what is mine."
If Evelyn was blushing before, now she was a deep shade of red. Her heart skipped a beat and her breathing became that much faster. Isadora smiled and reached out to take her hand.
"Isn't Willow Hill where they brought the zombie?" She asked, " And isn't Tyler Galpin held there as well?" The more she thought about it, the more she could feel panic claw away at her resolve. This was dangerous. She had no real reason to believe so, the zombie would no doubt be held in a secured facility and as for the young hyde, she had had confirmation from the principal that he was held in a special cell that warrants no concern for security. But still. A bad feeling crept up her spine, telling her to stay as far away from this place as possible.
"Yes, but I was assured that both of these problems were managed in the safest way possible." Isadora said, giving the seer's hand a squeeze. " Besides, my class will be held in a completely different wing, I won't even come close to their cells, " she said, as if this piece of information was enough to snuff out any worries.
Evelyn stayed perplexed but let the matter slide for now, choosing to enjoy her morning with the redhead.
Her day started out strong, with exams in both of her morning classes. She spent both her periods correcting the student's midterm projects while keeping an open eye for anyone foolish enough to try and cheat. She took the time to go down to the staff room for lunch and caught up with the other history teachers before heading down the corridor towards the music room. She knew Isadora had rehearsal for the upcoming gala and would likely skip lunch. When she knocked on the door a disheveled, stressed looking redhead opened, her eyes softening as soon as they landed on her.
"I thought you were principal Weems for a second." She said, a hand on her heart. "I feel bad saying this but these kids are nowhere near ready to perform in front of a crowd." She said with a slight panic in her voice.
"It'll be ok, you still have time, and they have you as a teacher, so I am certain they'll excel." The blonde professor said, handing her the paperbag with the sandwich and cup of tea.
"Thank you, you are a dream." Isadora said quickly, surprising Evelyn with a quick peck before disappearing back into the room.
The sun was setting behind the mountains as Evelyn sat down on her windowsill, a cup of tea in one hand and her book in the other. The golden light streamed in, bathing the space in its warmth. Evelyn had not had a quiet night in a long time. But of course, Evelyn Rostand could certainly not catch a break. Not even a chapter deep in her book, and a sharp knock broke the peaceful atmosphere.
"This is the second time you come to my quarters outside of school hours, Miss Addams." Evelyn said once she had opened her door. This time, the Addams girl was dressed in her casual clothes, still all black and white, but there was something different. Something frantic in her normally lifeless eyes.
"Miss Rostand, may I?" She said, her eyebrow raised, wanting to be allowed in. Evelyn hesitated, she knew why the girl had crawled back to her door but this time, something had changed and she had the feeling that she should not turn the girl around. She stepped aside, walking to the small kitchenette.
"Take a seat" she said, pouring a second cup of tea, which she gave to her student. "To what do I own this second visit?" She asked, putting a little more authority in her tone than she felt like she had.
"You wanted to know exactly what was going on." The girl started. "I am willing to share more with you. But this proposition is transactional."
"I need you to help me see. I need my sight back Miss Rostand, please, help me see." There was desperation present in that unnaturally flat tone. Evelyn took a second to think. She could feel the urgency of the situation, and she knew that somehow, her visions were connected to whatever was unfolding with this student. The choice was hard, but she knew that this might just be the only way to truly understand what was going on in the school.
"If I do this, you'll have to explain everything, Wednesday. No omission, no hidden plans. Can I trust you with this?" She said, trying to convey how serious she was through her eyes.
"I accept your terms." Wednesday said, calmly, before launching into her explanations. About her stumbling onto the scene of the murder of Donovan's partner, about his offer of teaming up to investigate a case which could affect the outcast population. How she went back to his house to find him dead by the same means as his partner, about the stalker that had been tailing her, her vision of Enid Sinclair's demise and finally, her visit at the Willow Hill institute, where she had had the brilliant idea of antagonizing a young hyde.
" Oh merde." Wednesday raised her brow at the French cursing, seemingly understanding the meaning.
"Excuse my lack of professionalism, but I think this situation warrants this kind of vocabulary." Evelyn said, a hand nervously raking her hair.
" "Merde" seems like an understatement to our current predicament miss Rostand." Wednesday said curtly.
Evelyn took a deep breath, prepping mentally for what she was about to do. "Give me your hand." She said, holding out hers.
Wednesday simply looked at it, not moving an inch. "Ok, listen, we're going to try something. Sometimes, I'm able to share my visions with someone by touching them. If we follow this logic and the way my abilities work, I should be able to use you as a trigger while simultaneously sharing with you whatever I see." Evelyn said, her voice wavering from her own uncertainty.
Any trace of doubt was quickly erased once Wednesday's hand touched hers. It was like touching a live wire. The young girl's head snapped back instantly and Evelyn's head seemed to explode with blinding pain. She closed her eyes and let the vision take complete control.
The dreaded law midterm has passed, which means more time for whatever this is.
Enjoy
The futur is uncertain. It is always changing, impossible to predict. Or at least, that is what most people think. For Evelyn, the futur is something she is most familiar with. But there was no way in hell she could have predicted this.
She took this job as Nevermore's new outcast history professor in the hopes of trading a life full of danger and precariousness for one simpler, quieter existence. But of course, simplicity had never been her strong suit. Mysteries, oddities and an unexpected meeting were on the menu for Evelyn Rostand, who could not have landed farther from the slow quiet life she desperately wanted.
In the eye of the storm, she will find her oasis

The woman at the piano, the one who had plagued her mind recently, Isadora Capri. She was beginning to understand the strange pull she had felt when Larissa Weems had called her. How the word yes had slid from her lips before she was even done listening to the shapeshifter’s proposal.
She got up slowly, still weak from it all and opened the door to see a tall man holding an old doctor’s briefcase. « Can I help you? »
« I should be the one asking that. » he said, sending her a warm smile, « I’m David Young, the school's nurse practitioner. » he said.
Evelyn blinked slowly, unsure as to how he had learned that she might be in need of medical assistance. « Oh, Isadora came to see me after she brought you back, made me promise to let you sleep before checking up on you. » He explained, as if he had heard her thoughts.
« I did. » He added before Evelyn could even open her mouth. « I can hear people’s minds, when they are opened or loud enough. » he said sheepishly, with an air of guilt surrounding him.
« Ah, must be convenient in your line of work. » She said, letting him in while using the little strength she had to block off her mind from his prying eyes.
« I’m not the biggest fan of violating people’s privacy, » he said sadly, « It’s not always easy to control it. »
Evelyn could relate to that. She still had difficulties with her gift, and today was a good example. David opened his briefcase and pulled out his stethoscope and other medical instruments. Evelyn abided to all his demands and answered every question asked by the nurse, carefully avoiding the ones specific to her vision. It was concluded that it was a simple case of exhaustion, and as for the migraine, an unfortunate side effect of a powerful episode. David lingered at the door, taking in the woman before him for the first time since entering her quarters.
“You know, you look oddly familiar.” He said, his eyes narrowing. “You were a student here, about eleven or twelve years ago weren't you?”
“I was yes.”
“I knew I recognized you from somewhere.” He said, his eyes beaming. “ I was two grades above you, I used to see you at the library all the time. » he said excitedly.
« I see some things never change.”He added, motioning to the array of books plastering the majority of her walls.
She smiled, politely signaling him that now wasn’t the best time for reunions. He let out a small laugh, exiting the room but not before peeking back in. “If you need anything, or if you're just looking for company, my office is in the west wing on the first floor.” He said gently before shutting the door behind him.
Evelyn woke up hungry. After all, she had not eaten since the morning of the day before, but the prospect of going down to the staff room for breakfast inspired nothing but dread in the blond. She showered quickly, changed into a white shirt and her brown three piece suit and pulled out a muffin and a yogurt container from her little fridge. She had an hour left before her first class and she intended on spending it reading peacefully in her classroom.
She heard a knock coming from her door frame. When she lifted her eyes from the pages , she was met with the head of music leaning on her door. Her wild red curls framed her beautiful face. She looked almost nervous, holding two mugs in her hands.
Evelyn felt her face heating, partly for the trouble she had caused the day before and simply because of that damn smirk playing on her full lips. Evelyn froze, her breath hitched.
“Good morning Miss Rostand,” She said, her voice still a little raspy from sleep. “ I thought proper introductions were in order.” She said, stepping in the classroom. “I didn’t know if you were a tea or coffee kind of person in the morning so I brought both.” She added, leaving the two mugs on her desk. She stood there for a moment, fidgeting with her rings, while the blond picked up the tea. She motioned for the ginger to take a seat at her desk.
“Thank you Miss Capri, you didn’t need to do that.”
“I wanted to.” She said, her eyes piercing. “And I thought I told you to call me Isadora.”
“Force of habit, you’ll have to excuse me.” Evelyn said, leaning back in her chair, her book long forgotten.
“I’ll remind you as many times as necessary.” She said with a smirk. There was something so hypnotizing about the way the woman seemed to sway between confidence and nervousness. “How are you feeling today?”
“As good as new. I am really sorry for my episode yesterday. It doesn’t usually hit this hard, and I can control it but it seemed I was due to have a dramatic moment.”
“How do they work?” She asked, leaning her elbows on her desk. Evelyn let a nervous giggle escape. “But if you don’t want to talk about it’s ok.” She backtracked rapidly, her eyes widening, worried she might have crossed a line.
“ No it’s ok, I owe you an explanation.” She said, surprising even herself. Evelyn did not open up about her abilities to anyone. In fact very few were aware of her vision process. But for some enigmatic reason, she felt the need for this woman to understand her.
“Usually, they come in quick flashes. A burst of images, usually when I touch something of interest. I can also trigger them by either thinking about the subject or touching something that belongs to them.” She said, taking a sip of her tea. The flavor was immaculate, very floral, very her.
“But on rare occasions, I have these… rather intense ones. I can never pinpoint what triggers them, could be a smell, something I hear, something I see… “ She said, unable to hold Isadora’s gaze.
“They take a lot out of me, and this one, well you witnessed it.” She concluded, skillfully avoiding the contents of said vision.
“I see.” She said, her gaze never leaving Evelyn’s. “Your eye, does it have anything to do with your ability?”
“I assumed it has. When I have a particularly harsh vision, there’s this intense pain, but otherwise, it is just a harmless token of my oddity” She said with a sigh. “When I was a girl, it used to attract the attention of the people around me. I find it easier to go about life unnoticed.”
“I can understand that. Wanting to fade in the mass.” She said with nostalgia present in her voice. “ I hope this is not too forward, but I just wanted to say that your eyes are beautiful.” She added smoothly.
Seeing as their initial subject of conversation had died out, Isadora looked frantically around the room, begging for something to ask about. She was not ready to leave the blond’s classroom. She needed to know more about this mysterious new teacher which had left a distinctive mark in her mind. “What are you reading?”
The professor’s eyes lit up at the question. Evelyn slid the book towards her and started to explain in detail how this book was a masterpiece of metaphors and poetic descriptions, and how transcendent the style of the author was. They spoke of books and music, both sharing what work inspired and moved them.
Isadora was a firm believer that one's music taste told a lot about their character. She learned that the seer’s favorite composer was Yan Tiersen, a pianist praised for his classical influence and use of more modern, experimental techniques. It was oddly fitting for the woman before her. Someone with a sharp mind and a profound curiosity of the past and a hunger for knowledge.
Time flew quickly, and soon enough, students were slowly flooding the corridors, making their way sleepily to their first class of the day. A sharp cough interrupted Isadora’s rant on the complexity of the baroque area in music. She turned around sharply, her curls whipping her in her face, causing a smile to erupt on Evelyn’s face.
Larissa Weems was standing in the doorway in all her regal glory, an eyebrow raised and a perplexed look on her face.
“Miss Capri, don’t you have a class to teach in a few minutes?” In a tone that would make anyone in their right mind cower. Isadora grabbed her mug hastily and left the classroom with a small nod towards the principal.
As soon as the head of music had left the room, principal Weems demeanor completely changed. “You enjoy scaring them don’t you?” Evelyn said with a smile.
“It is a joyous aspect of my stature, yes.” she said, taking a seat where Isadora had been moments before. “My presence this morning should not come as a surprise to you, Evelyn.”
“Word travels fast within these walls."
“It is my duty to know what is going on with my staff.” She said, inspecting the blond’s desk. “And I have a feeling I have more than just your overall well-being to be wary of.”
“If you are referring to the contents of my vision, let me reassure you that it concerns only myself.” Silence followed her statement. Larissa held her gaze, searching for any signs of lies.
Technically, the threat was to her own physical integrity. She had no knowledge of the possible identity of her attacker and she did not know who or what that wolf had to do with all this. As for the presence of the beautiful ginger, she deemed this information privy only to herself.
Still Larissa Weems knew Evelyn well, and she could feel the blond was withholding crucial information. But she was also aware of the fact that Evelyn would come to her when she was ready, or when the situation would be close to the boiling point. She simply hoped she would reach out before that point.
“What was Miss Capri doing in your classroom?” She asked. “This is not a mug from the cafeteria, did she bring you tea?”
Evelyn’s face heated considerably. “She just wanted to see if I was ok…” She said, but stopped her sentence once she saw Larissa’s face. “Don’t start Larissa. It’s just friendliness from one colleague to the other.”
“I am sure.” She said standing from her chair. “ David will be over at lunch, just to check if you are back to normal.” Before she could argue, Larissa lifted her hand, clearly signifying that the discussion was closed.
After she left, her morning sped past, class after class filled with lectures and answering students' queries. Lunch rolled around, and as discussed, David was at her door once again, briefcase in hand and a joyful smile illuminating his boyish features.
The check up was quick and efficient, but his visit lingered for the full duration of lunch. They talked fondly of their time as students and life after graduation. She found the man’s presence warm and comfortable, full of banter and laughter. Before she knew it, students were filtering in and the blond had not even had the time to grab lunch.
The final bell came as the blond’s salvation. She held in her delight until the last student walked out of her class, but as soon as he was gone, her shoulders sagged, and a loud sigh left her lips. She gathered her things in her leather bag and walked out in the quad. The yard was empty with everyone most likely in the cafeteria. The air was cold but the last rays of the sun managed to warm her face. She sat on a bench, facing the forest and closed her eyes. There was a melody, faint, carried by the wind to her ears. It was familiar. In fact she had spoken of this particular piece a few hours ago.
Comptine d’un autre été, l’après-midi. A composition from a classic French movie. This was the melody that had triggered her love of music. The melody was tentative, as if played for the first time. As the song advanced, the notes became more and more assured, and soon the melody was played with so much finesse and emotion it hit the blond right in the chest. She stayed there, as the sun came down in the Nevermore gardens, ignoring her hunger and closing her eyes to better feel the music

Chapter one
As she walks down the corridors of Nevermore she isn't really herself. Florence Sallow, the straight A, autistic, English girl, is unbelievably lost in her head. She knows that it's partially because of her disability, just not exactly why.
All of the teachers have always loved Flo, she works hard and takes the blame for all mistakes. Only when she is alone in her dorm, she lets it all out. All the stimulus from the day, it disappears with the tears running down her cheeks.
It must not sound like the happiest life, but at least she gets nice marks. People like her for her marks, so much that they no longer care about her autism.
It's a routine; studying hard, getting the workouts in, eating a high protein diet, crying it all out in her room.
But maybe, just maybe, this year is about to bring some change.
*
Today, class officially starts. Students have Monday to arrive at the campus and settle in. Friends are happy to see each other again after the weeks off. For familiar students it's a whole day of finding each other and fucking around. Tuesday is when the real work starts.
English literature was easy, brain killing even. English is Flo's best subject, she never has to do anything in class because the work is too easy for her, so she just sits in class reading a book in order not to get bored. Music, however... No, she will never reach fulfilment in that. Last year felt like a tragedy, even though her teachers told her she was doing okay.
What the first music class of the year will bring her is a mystery. So, Flo sits down at the front of class — a trick that gets teachers to like you — with her book still in hand, nervous for what is about to come.
The last she expected was for a strange woman to walk in. "Good morning, class. Since this is your first music class of this year, I will introduce myself. I am Ms Capri, the new head of music. I have devoted my entire life to music, and now I am here to help you find yourself in it."
Flo straightens her back as she listens to the new teacher talk, a fascinated expression on her face. Ms Capri has wavy rust ginger hair, hazel eyes, and a clothing style that suits her features. Flo usually hides that she is sapphic in a fear of making others uncomfortable, but she has to admit to herself that Ms Capri is unbelievably attractive.
"So that's that for now. I will learn your names along the way." She takes a look around the classroom, pausing her talk for a few seconds.
"For some of you, I am also a dorm mum," she continues, "which means I will come to pay a visit around eight to see how you have settled in."
After that, Ms Capri starts to hand out work sheets. A basic quiz to see what the students know from last year, she says. A waft of her scent enters Flo's nostrils when she walks by, cinnamon and vanilla. Flo mutters a quiet "thank you" when Ms Capri hands her a sheet.
Flo looks at the first question, just linking what instrument has which role in an orchestra or band. This is something she learned last year, so it isn't that complicated.
The only sounds in the room are those of pens scribbling on paper and the occasional sigh. The questions get more difficult as Flo proceeds. That's when she feels it.
Oftentimes, she gets overstimulated by matter she doesn't understand, a normal reaction for an autistic person. But worrying about getting overstimulated makes it worse. Flo's head feels like a thunderstorm, she feels quiet tears running down her cheeks.
Nobody notices, Flo doesn't make a sound. So when the bell rings, she wipes the excess away and gets in the line of students to hand in her quiz.
When it's her turn, Ms Capri gives her a puzzled look. Though as soon as she opens her mouth to say something, Flo is already on her way out of the music room.

After spending some time relaxing and getting a bit of preparation for the next day done, Flo makes her way to the dining hall. She takes a look around her for a spot, finding hers next to Wednesday. The girl usually doesn't speak a lot while eating, and her girlfriend Enid keeps herself busy talking to Bianca. This all means it's the perfect spot for Flo to sit.
"Florence! I heard you're impressing teachers here and there again. How's life?" Her friend Enid asks, who always makes sure to check in.
Flo smiles. "It's managable, though I am a bit upset that we don't have any classes together this year," she answers, looking up at Enid, who has come to stand beside her.
Enid takes her opportunity to boop Flo on the nose, which she lets the wolf do as usual. "Yeah, it is disappointing, isn't it? Lucky for you I won't distract you in class anymore. Also, most of my evenings are free to spend with you." The wolf girl never lets anything ruin her optimism.
Suddenly, that cinnamon and vanilla like fragrance appears. Florence turns her head away from Enid to watch as Ms Capri walks by. She has something enchanting in her walk, also in her voice, and just the way she carries herself.
Before Flo can get carried away, Wednesday's blank voice sounds. "You're staring at the child prodigy," she says matter of factly.
Flo frowns. "Child prodigy?"
"Hmh. Isadora Capri, finished her classical album 'Wolf Howl' at age ten. I don't get what she's doing here." Wednesday informs her. She always knows quite a lot about everything and everyone, Flo is not sure why, but it's Wednesday.
She nods, yet she doesn't understand why Ms Capri has now chosen to teach instead of going on with her musical career. Flo makes a mental note to Google her later.
The rest of dinner remains quiet, as predicted, Enid talking to some guy in her pack and Wednesday stuck in thoughts, probably about murder. Flo is trying to shake off the thoughts about Ms Capri, the one teacher she won't be able to impress due to her lack of musical talent.

Flo's nose is stuck in a fantasy novel when the knock on the door comes. One of the pro's about having an ASD diagnosis is that she has a smaller room that is designed for one person only. No roommate, no distraction.
This makes her wonder who would come knocking at her door, usually when she is in need of company she will come to Enid's, never once the other way around. The other girls know that she comes out of her cave when she wants to.
"Come in?" Flo says while sitting up in her bed to look more presentable for whomever wants to see her.
The door opens, and Ms Capri's her peaks through the door. "Hi," she says before stepping into the room. Although it is half past eight in the evening, she is still wearing the clothes she was throughout the day. Unlike Flo, who is already in her pyjamas.
"I'm sorry to disturb your reading Miss Sallow, I'm just going around the dorms to introduce myself as dorm mum and see if anyone is in need of help."
Flo finds herself confused that she doesn't mind the disturbance at all. Usually, she gets really annoyed by anyone trying to get to her whilst she is reading. Ms Capri's voice is actually quite soothing.
"No, not at all, it's fine, really. You can sit down if you want," Flo says, but regret fills her as soon as the last sentence leaves her mouth. Ms Capri must now think weird of her for offering a teacher a seat on her bed.
But the middle aged teacher seems to think differently of that, sitting down next to the brunette girl on the bed. "Well, you of course know me already due to having music class on the first day," she tucks a strain of hair behind her ear, "but have you faced any difficulties or do you have any questions?"
Now that Flo thinks of it, there actually are a few things that she needs to get sorted before diving into the school year. "Uhm well there are a few things that all teachers need to know of every year..." She starts.
"Okay go ahead, I'll make sure to check for you," she smiles kindly. something about the music teacher sets Flo off, as if she gets a bit nervous to talk to her, which she usually doesn't have around teachers.
The student takes a breath before speaking, "Well, first up it's inportant that they know about my autism."
Ms Capri nods, "Of course that is."
"Then I always got the permission to wear earplugs during class but also during tests last year. Will I get that same privilege this year?" Flo continues, having trouble to remain eye contact but to look away at the same time.
"If you need to use earplugs, I'm sure that can be arranged." The teachers calming voice sounds again. "Hey, you seem a bit nervous, but just know that you can tell me anything. I don't judge and will do my best to help you."
Flo really needed that reassurance, it encourages her to keep talking. "Thank you, Ms. There's just one more thing. I often need some extra minutes on tests due to my lack of ability to focus. Can you make sure that is written down?"
Ms Capri smiles once more. "Definitely, just give me a second to make a note in my phone." She gets her phone out, the case is one with leopard print. This makes Flo smile, the older woman surely has a taste of her own.
"That's it then, remember that you can always come to me for anything," she gets off the bed but her look lingers on her student, as if expecting something. "Have a good night, Miss Sallow."
When her teacher has left the room, off to the next student, Flo lets out a sigh. She's glad Ms Capri didn't directly ask her about the incident in class, though she knows the teacher might have been waiting for her to say something about that.

That night, a single light shines in Flo's bedroom. The screen of her phone lights up a small section of the space. She couldn't sleep, of course she couldn't. It's not just that it's the second night at Nevermore, it is also a full moon. And though Florence is not a werewolf, the moon still influences her sleep in some way.
Full of curiosity, the brunette types in the name Wednesday gave her. 'Isadora Capri.' Flo knows that it is wrong to look up her teacher online, she just cannot resist.
Thousands of articles show up, but what really gets her attention are the references to YouTube videos at the top of the screen. Her songs, probably.
Flo taps on the most recent video and plugs in her earphones. The classical music starts playing, after a few seconds of listening she decides to lay back down and enjoy it in a state of relaxation.
Usually, she doesn't pay a lot of attention to classical music. Her playlists are full of folk and pop, but also metal and lots of indie. Although, knowing that the teacher that has enchanted her thoughts is the composer of this music makes Flo listen to it a lot more attentively.
It has a lot of nuances, and it really sounds like a story is being told without words, leading to Florence letting the music drag her in. She doesn't notice how she has closed her eyes, not even when she dozes off to sleep.
