I’ve put off writing poker related fics for the exact same reasons

@msermesth I feel like I could learn just enough to passably write one but I can’t bring myself to do it, lol. I need to know just enough for the pointless dialogue in between the real stuff but I haven’t made any effort.

It was a lot of fun to write and I was super excited about it. I love messing around with the multiverse. It was a story where there was an “evil” Steve and earth 3490 Steve came to get MCU Steve’s help to stop him. I got to write MCU Tony working with earth 3490 Natasha Stark-Rogers and that was just so much fun to write.

I have the most fun trying to imagine their conversations and how different earth 3490 is from the other universes. Like, we know they had the SHRA but what else was different? In my fic, they fell in love (or at least confessed their feelings) after Red Zone. And they had a kid so it was interesting writing how MCU Steve would feel about it because, timeline wise (although comic universe is so fucky) it was like seeing how far he’d come in other universes and how happy he was... and how little he’s accomplished in his own universe.

Multiverse angst is kind of my favorite angst, to be honest.

For my fic offer: I like writing a wide variety of things and genres, but generally prefer to work within canon. I'm a drama addict and adore arguments and love confessions. Comic book shenanigans like multiverse stuff and clones are my jam. I like tropes like “OMG! there was only one bed” and “it's cold and I need your body warmth.” I write a lot of porn, in particular, porn with feelings and kink. I'm not big into pure fluff, but I do appreciate people being domestic. I love angst, both with happy and unhappy endings. Particularly, I enjoy writing emotionally difficult stuff - unrequited love, addiction, infidelity, lying, character death, etc. For my digital art offer: digital static or interactive maps to support fanfics (ex: road trip fic) or to document things in canon (ex: where did everybody go in Age of Ultron).

Will not create works that contain:

For fic offer: my "hard no"s are scat, watersports, and underage. Besides that, if you're worried I wouldn't write it, just reach out to me and I can give you an answer. For digital art offer: hand drawn maps and maps for ships I'm not interested in.

*hugs* I know that feeling. If you love it, than it’s worth doing.

I know *sighs*. It’s just a bummer. I’m wondering if it’s a just a writer think for the fics you’re most proud of to get pushed aside for the ones you’re less enthused about. It’s just a bummer to keep putting the work in with all that self doubt 😞
