In our 1st grade ELA classes we are reading lots of BOOKS!
In this particular class, we were focusing on Characters and Characteristics -
We looked at the main character Cal in the book That Book Woman, and wrote about OUTSIDE characteristics (like what he wears, his hair color, etc.) and INSIDE characteristics (like what he’s feeling or thinking)
Using colored paper, and working together, we made costumes to express Cal’s OUTSIDE characteristics.
