with regards to the ruby rose thing, I think it's what when she was first announced a lot of people were really excited beacuse they genuinely liked her, but as usual tumblr took it the wrong way and just assumed we were excited about an attractive white queer woman playing that exact thing. When there's nothing wrong with being excited over someone you enjoy being in a show you like, but tumblr has a tendency to just assume the worst of people in situations like this and overreact
