— starter for @msucam !
it was probably dramatic and stupid and not at all what his dad had in mind when he told will to look after his brother, but he was directionless without direct orders. it was all he could think to do, because he couldn’t wait around at home all by himself, wasting time, protecting no one, and doing nothing to help his dad nor brother. he knew where cam was, even if he hadn’t seen or talked to him in a really long time. he didn’t know how his little brother would feel about seeing him again, much less like this, but he had to bite the bullet and find out.
will never liked school much. or, at least, not the work part. there were other activities that happened at school that he enjoyed, but he knew that cam never had been exactly like him. upon arriving, he didn’t think he’d find him making out with some stranger inside of a storage closet or playing games with other students ( unless that game happened to be chess ) — no, he’d be somewhere else. he knew the kid better than anyone, or so he liked to believe, which is why he ended up sauntering into the library, hands in his jacket pockets as he approached a lone boy seated at a isolated table, eyes glued to the page in front of him.
“heya, cammy.”
