The theme of infinity can be found in a lot of Digimon material, specially in earlier media.
The original lyrics for the song Butter-fly by Kōji Wada, theme song of Digimon Adventure (1999), makes mention of an infinite dream.
In Digimon World 1, the final area of the game is called Mt. Infinity. The final boss? None other than Machinedramon, otherwise known as Mugendramon. Mugen meaning infinite.
Machinedramon's signature move is even called infinity cannon!
One of Hudiemon's (the butterfly Digimon) moves is called infinity dream, likely a reference to the song mentioned earlier. Its Support Skill also has the same name.
