Animated music video commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Digimon Adventure, set to Koji Wada's "Butter-Fly"
Been teaching myself “Butter-fly” by Kouji Wada from Digimon Adventure and I like the progress I’ve been making.
Can’t wait to figure out what I’m going to do about the instrumental bit in the middle because I have no clue right now.
The theme of infinity can be found in a lot of Digimon material, specially in earlier media.
The original lyrics for the song Butter-fly by Kōji Wada, theme song of Digimon Adventure (1999), makes mention of an infinite dream.
In Digimon World 1, the final area of the game is called Mt. Infinity. The final boss? None other than Machinedramon, otherwise known as Mugendramon. Mugen meaning infinite.
Machinedramon's signature move is even called infinity cannon!
One of Hudiemon's (the butterfly Digimon) moves is called infinity dream, likely a reference to the song mentioned earlier. Its Support Skill also has the same name.
What do you all think is up with this?
There could be an infinity of meanings...

After an endless dream, I’m sure we can fly On my love.
Butter-fly is such a stunning song, with not only a beautiful melody but also heartwrenching yet hopeful lyrics. Actually, it fits very well Digimon Adventure.
After graduating, I felt a bit empty. Then I fell back into Digimon by watching the reboot. It made me realize how much I used to love that show as a kid, and how wonderful it is, as an adult, to still enjoy it now and be in wonder in front of this journey I know by heart. One day I wish to make a kid show who will be meaninful enough to kids, so they can look back on it fondly.
