I took a lot of convincing but luckily my mixer Iggy spurred me on so here we are. I hope you like it. I love the original song so much so I wanted to do my take on it.

Just finished the second video, you're already getting better! How do you record them?

Honestly it’s totally trial and error. I am a complete newbie at this so I’m just trying to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

...therefore my recording equipment is not flashy in the slightest. I use my Samsung S8 and a pair of cheap earbuds with a mic built in (though I’ve been having so much fun recording I might invest in some better equipment).

Then I pop the whole thing into an app; cut, edit and splice audio together then drop it into the very sophisticated(😂) Windows Video Editor on my laptop, where I attach it to the background image I’ve premade in GIMP.

It’s a very crude process but so far it works for me!

I’ve started using music in the background of the videos too! I love fanfic readings that incorporate calming music in the background so I thought I’d give it a try.

I’m so excited that my new mic should be showing up in the next couple of days. I can’t wait to test it out.
