Jace x Reader: Cuddling
-Jace is probably not as big on physical affection from people he isn't close to, but you are special and he likes being around you.
-Something about you just comforts him, possibly also how your thoughts/mind feel to him if he has been able to mess around with them at any point.
-He comes to you after a long day when he is tired and/or needs some cheering up.
-He just kind of.....flops against you because he doesn't have much energy left from dealing with things.
-It is hard not to hug him at this point. You just kind of have to. You can feel him relax and pretty much just melt in your arms as you hold him.
-Will wrap his cloak around you while you are cuddling him. This is now a cloak hug. It's soft and it keeps you both warm.
-Will make a small noise if you try to move or let go of him too soon because he doesn't want it to end.

Maybe Jace with an s/o who’s an empath? Like they’re sensitive to the emotions of others (especially strong ones(man how did they even survive Ravnica??)) but always tries to be cheerful regardless? Idk just the idea with Jace hanging around with a ball of sunshine for an s/o is a very good concept to me or maybe I’m just projecting who knows

Jace with a cheerful empath s/o
-Jace knows what it's like to pick up on the thoughts/feelings of those around him, so he is surprised and impressed that you can stay cheerful and not let it get to you.
-He would still get worried sometimes though and would try to find some way to use his abilities to give you some kind of relief when you are exposed to strong negative emotions. This hopefully does not backfire horribly.
-He finds your cheerfulness adorable and being around you automatically makes his day better because he can both see and feel how happy you are.
-When you aren't around, he is kind of scared that something will happen to you or he'll do something to ruin your relationship because it's TOO perfect. You might feel small traces of this from time to time when you see him again after being away from him.
-Overall though, interacting with you is enough to ease these fears and the change is very noticeably felt when he starts to calm down after you walk into the room.

It's always Jace hours on this blog (except when it is Ertai hours of course). Also that scenario is one of my favorites. I wish you luck on getting caught up on Jace lore. Early Jace lore is in my opinion some of the best written in MTG.
Jace's s/o throwing themselves in harms way to protect him
Warnings: Slight angst, Jace being Jace, mentions of blood, s/o gets hurt
-Jace is very powerful when it comes to his magic, but when someone manages to break it he is extremely vulnerable in a physical fight.
-When someone that he thought he had under his control breaks out of it suddenly, his s/o is able to catch the sudden change in expression on their face.
-They come at him with daggers with the intent to kill him after what he did and he isn't quick enough to react to it even if he can tell when his control breaks. But his s/o is. They push him out of the way and take the blow themselves, making a loud pained noise as Jace is forced to watch them fall to the ground. Blood starts to leak through their clothes. The wound looks bad.
-Seeing his s/o get hurt like this would make Jace lash out mentally as he just stares on in horror for a bit. The attacker will probably be disoriented for a while at the very least. If this is early Jace we are talking about, there is also a chance that he might accidentally severely damage or kill their mind in the moment.
-As soon as the attacker has been taken care of, he runs over to his s/o to see how bad it is and if he can do anything to help them. He is crying by this point and calling out their name. He's scared that he's going to lose them like a lot of other important people in his life and he is terrified. He probably blames himself on some level. If his plan wasn't so risky, his s/o never would have gotten hurt.
-Holds them close and tries to carry them to the nearest person that can heal them if they can't walk and will still let them lean on him if they can somewhat. He isn't very physically strong and he might struggle with this if he has to carry them, but he will still manage to do it because he can't lose his s/o. He can't lose someone again.
-Will stay with them until they are well if it's allowed. He would feel even worse if he left them. He holds their hand too if he can throughout the whole thing. Even if this is during his time as the Guildpact, he will shrug off any responsibilities he has because his s/o matters more. This is also the one time Lavinia won't get on his case about it later.
-When his s/o is well again, he will pull them into a tight hug where he is shaking and buries his face in their shoulder. It will last for a long time and he'll apologize for putting them in that situation with as few words and details as possible. He'll keep clinging onto them as his s/o reassures him that they are fine now. Its almost as if he thinks he'll lose them again if he lets go.
