Talented Female Hip-Hop Beauty Prepares To Launch Debut Album
Ft. Pierce, FL Nov 5, 2014-
The Florida hip-hop scene gained a bit of diversity in 2008 when the Ft. Pierce-native, Beema joined the scene. Since then, she has been consistently releasing high-powered mixtapes and has become known as one of the favorites. The Sun Shine State native is preparing to release her much awaited debut album entitled, “I’m a G.A.W.D”.
“My music has meaning… Contrary to popular belief people still turn to music for knowledge and healing, and I give that in this album. Eleven tracks of straight lyrics and melody from a grown woman’s perspective,” said Beema. This album will be different from what a lot of people are used to hearing in hip-hop albums as it is aimed towards the grown and sexy crowd instead of the stereotypical street tales.
One of her favorite records on this album is entitled, “Ladies”. She is very determined to reach not only the emotions of listeners but their minds as well. This song addresses younger women, letting them know that they should strive to be respectable, mature, classy ladies instead of falling for the weak images that society places on them.
Beema built a tremendous buzz in Florida from her 2009 mixtape release of “Beauty and the Beast” vol. 1 which was hosted by the world-renowned, DJ Smallz. In 2012, she solidified her buzz by linking up with one of the most powerful managers in the independent hip-hop market, C. Wakeley.
Though Beema’s music fits a wide-range of listeners, the primary audience for this album is ages 25-45. “I’m a G.A.W.D” is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2014 and will be available through all major retail outlets. “I love it; I know the fans will love it as well. No gimmicks needed, my music sells itself,” she said.
