Uhh hi! This is my first contribution to the fandom. I only got into mtl recently so I'm jumping in hoping to attempt to contribute to the tail end of kloktober
Campfire or Left in the cold
Toki didn’t realize how cold it had gotten out here… his body was shivering, but his lips stayed locked with the bottle of vodka hoping to keep his insides warm. He had been drinking so much more than usual lately - he didn’t want to have time to think. When he was sober all these thoughts swirled around in his head and it became overwhelming to him. There were so many things he wanted to forget about - especially all this death that seemed to surround him lately. It wasn’t fair. He understood people had to die everyday, but why was it that people in his life were dying more and more often around him lately? Even when he knew his dad was sick it brought up complicated feelings. Sure, the guy beat him but that was still his father - half of the pair who brought him into this world. Even if his relationship with his parents had been strained he was glad to be born and to be able to be in the world’s greatest band - Dethklok.
The vodka bottle was nearly empty but his lips remained on the bottle… He just wanted to feel something, anything else than the cold that was covering his body and the emptiness that was in his heart.
“No…I needs more!” Toki whined now throwing the empty bottle out into the distance.
“Hey watchs it! You almost hitteds me!” A familiar voice called out.
Toki thought maybe he had been seeing things. He rubbed his eyes a bit. The figure before him still remained a bit blurry out in the snow but he began to focus and made out a tall, blond silhouette.
“Skwisgaar?” Toki questioned - he wasn’t sure himself.
“Who else, ya dildos?” Skwisgaar sounded offended, but it was merely a way to try to cover up his concern.
“What ams you doing here, Skwisgaar? It’s cold out.”
“Pfft. This is nothings. You though… You gotta get yourself back insides. You’ve had a lots of alcohols.”
“No! Leaves me here. I don’t want to bring the moods down.”
“Moods is alreadys down without yous there.” Skwisgaar reluctantly admitted. He was shivering a bit.
Surprisingly he hadn’t been drinking much lately… Mostly because he wanted to make sure to take care of Toki. With the lack of alcohol in his system his body actually felt colder, especially since he had come outside in his tank top.
“Yous shiverings.” Toki stumbled his way over to Skwisgaar nearly falling face first into the snow. He rested his hand on Skwisgaar’s shoulder.
Toki’s hand was cold, but once he rested his hand on Skwisgaar’s skin he did begin to feel a bit warmer at least. Normally Skwisgaar would shake him off but he decided against it right now. It was too fucking cold.
“No shits! I came out here to get yous… Can we go backs insides now?” Skwisgaar was practically pulling Toki by the arm now to try to get him to budge.
“…No. Just leave me heres. I just needs to be alone for awhiles…” Toki freed himself from Skwisgaar's attempt to pull him and turned his back to him.
“If you’re staying out heres, then I guess I gotta stays here with you but if I freeze to deaths it’s your fault.”
“Go backs insides. I saids I wanted to be alone.”
"No... I'm stayings out heres if you won't go back inside."
“I tolds yous no.” Toki sounded serious about this - it was a rare tone to hear from him.
“Tokis…” Skwisgaar sighed. “You rans out of alcohols didn’t yous? Insides there’s more so…” it wasn’t the approach he wanted to take, but if it would at least get Toki back inside then it was worth a shot.
“This ams true…You’re right Skwisgaar! I’ll be theres in a little bits. I’ll catch ups.” Toki hoped this answer would suffice. He’d still prefer to be left alone for a little while longer.
“Yeah, Okays. Just don’t stay outs for too longs…” Skwisgaar decided to head back inside.
He did all he could do - or rather all he would allow himself to do. If stupid Toki wanted to stay out in the cold then he wasn’t going to force him back inside. Stupid Toki. Why should he allow himself to worry over someone who just wanted to take that path of self-destruction? He shouldn’t care. Toki was grown he could take care of himself. Still Skwisgaar found himself looking back once more at Toki who sat in the snow looking up at the sky.
“Oh Tokis… What ams we goings to do with yous?” Skwisgaar shook his head. Although he was heading back inside, he still sat near a window where he could at least keep an eye on Toki. If he stayed out there for too much longer then he’d definitely ask Nathan to carry him back inside.
Just thought Toki deserved to have a nice time trick-or-treating tbh ;w;
Halloween was one of the holiday’s Toki looked forward to the most every year. He wasn’t sure what he wanted to be for Halloween so he ended up buying several costumes, he figured he’d wear whatever he was feeling most on the actual day of Halloween. What he loved most about Halloween (besides dressing up) was that people gave out free candy. He was a bit torn… He wanted to pass out candy, but he wanted to go ‘trick-or-treating’ too. The other members of Dethklok thought it was stupid to get candies from others when they could easily buy as much candy as they wanted to, but Toki thought that took away the fun of it. It was too bad they were trying to keep hidden from the public for now since Charles said they were in danger… He was looking forward to going trick-or-treating. At least Charles had something in mind to help Toki still be able to celebrate Halloween.
“Whys ams we doings this again?” Skwisgaar was first to question it.
“Because Toki wanted to go trick-or-treating, and since it really isn’t safe for him to be out in the public I thought we could do a little something for him here.” Charles was the one who helped organize this, even though Pickles was the one who brought it up to Charles that Toki wanted to go trick-or-treating.
“Pfft. The tricks or treatingks is for childrens.” Skwisgaar scoffed.
“Maybe so… but look, can we just do this for him? I think he needs some cheering up.” Charles hoped the boys would be on their best behavior.
“Yeah. Ok.” Nathan had no issue with it.
“Don’t care.” Murderface chimed in.
“Yeah, let’s do this for Toki.” Pickles already had a Halloween themed bucket he was going to give Toki to collect his candy in.
“Okays. For Tokis.” Skwisgaar reluctantly agreed.
“Great. There are other Klokateers around Mordhaus as well. If you need more buckets or candy just give me a call. I’ll have it taken care of. Have fun boys.” Charles left the room.
“Uh, ok. So… Let’s go get Toki then.” Nathan said leading the group to go find him.
Toki was still deciding what costume to wear for today… It was a little sad he was the only member of Dethklok that seemed to want to participate in celebrating, but that was ok. As long as he had his costume on it would still be fun.
“Hey Tokis… We are heres to go tricks or treatingks with yours.” Skwisgaar announced as soon as they found Toki.
“Oh wowee! Are we reallys going trick or treatingings?” Toki really hoped so!
“Here ya go buddy.” Pickles handed Toki the pumpkin shaped bucket. “We might not be able to go out in a neighborhood or whatever, but you can trick-or-treat around here.”
“Thanks you. I just wish I had friends to go to do the tricks or treatinings withs me too…” Toki sighed loudly.
Toki’s sigh earned a sigh from Skwisgaar, “Yeahs well… That’s why we’re heres you dildos.”
“Yous will go tricks or treatingings with me?” Toki’s holiday spirit returned!
“Yeah buddy. Sure.” Murderface shrugged. He had to admit though, it was nice to see Toki happy.
“Let’s go get some candy.” Nathan turned to leave the room until he was interrupted by Toki.
“Waits! You haves to wear costumes too…. Please?” Toki wondered if he was pushing it but he was hopeful they would join him!
“Are you serious right now?” Nathan questioned, but saw Toki’s smile was fading… “Alright. Sure. Whatcha got?”
“Holds ons! I’ll picks the best costumes for everyones…” Toki went into his closet - he knew buying all these extra costumes would come in handy!
“Oh boys.” Skwisgaar was already dreading what costumes Toki was going to pull out from there.
“Pickle… I think you should haves this ones.” Toki pulled out the first costume from his closet…
“No way man, what the hell is that?” Pickles was already regretting agreeing to this.
“It’s a unicorns.” Toki was already shoving the costume in Pickles direction.
“Ah, man. Alright.” Pickles sighed.
“Ands… For Murderface…” Toki came back with a hideous, yellow looking costume in hand.
“The fuck is that?!” Murderface already hated seeing this… yellow thing in his face.
“A minions!” Toki exclaimed.
“What the fuck is a minion?” Murderface squinted his eyes in Toki’s direction.
“It’s a littles friendly guys!” Toki explained.
Murderface sighed, “Yeah, ok. Whatever.”
“Skwisgaar… You can haves this.” Toki went back into the closet and came back with what looked to be a headband with white feathers, a beak, and a tutu. “A swan princesses!”
“Whys a princess? Whys nots a princes?” Skwisgaar rolled his eyes.
“Swans are regals! You’ll looks awesomes.” Toki reassured.
Skwisgaar shrugged, “Whatever.”
“Nathan! You gets to be this…” Toki left and returned with what looked to be a Teddy bear costume. “You cans be a teddy bears.”
“….Can I at least be a brutal teddy bear or something?” Nathan sighed.
“Yes, very brutals. Maybe we can puts bloods.” Toki suggested.
“Yeah. Ok.” Nathan shrugged.
“Hey, why does Nathan get a cool costume?” Pickles complained.
“Yeah. What the fuck Toki?” Murderface scoffed.
“As for mes, I’m going to wear this cools Gods costumes.” Toki came back wearing a toga and cat ears.
“What’s with the cat ears?” Murderface questioned.
“Ah… Ams the Gods of cats.” Toki said proudly.
“Okay. God of cats got it. Now let’s go get your candy, buddy.” Nathan put his arm around Toki so they could start this whole trick-or-treating business. It was going to feel like a long night.
Kloktober Day 26: Pick a tarot card for inspiration
I wanted to get something done for today. Struggled with this one a bit, but this is a little something I came up with.
Murderface was tired of feeling like he was the least desirable member of Dethklok. He wondered what he could do to try to increase his popularity. Normally he wasn’t the type to believe in palm readers and all that other crap, but it was worth a shot. Maybe this could help increase his luck or something... if that was something tarot cards did anyway.
“Hey! Hello? Anyone here? I wanna get my future told."
“Yes, welcome in… William Murderface.”
“Whoa, you really can tell the future, you know my name.”
“….Sure. Of course.” The tarot card reader smiled, although truthfully she knew his name because of his popularity. “Take a seat.”
“So… How’s this work? Will you be able to bring me good luck? I wanna make sure to get plenty of attention and become the most popular member of Dethklok! You can do that, right?” Murderface was leaning forward against the table, causing the fortune teller to lean back away from him a bit.
“Do you approach everything in your life like this?”
“What do you mean? Like what?” Now Murderface sat back and folded his arms to his chest.
The diviner didn’t elaborate further. Instead she pulled out a deck of cards and shuffled them, “Pick out which card speaks most to you.”
Murderface didn’t really understand how this worked, but he shrugged and picked out a card.
“The reversed high priestess.” The woman sat back and looked into Murderface’s eyes.
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
Murderface thought this lady was kinda creepy the more he looked at her honestly. Maybe this was a bad idea - what if this lady just ended up cursing him instead.
“This card represents a lack of center, or maybe even repressed feelings.” The diviner was trying to get a better read of his emotions, but instead of looking inwards Murderface seemed to laugh in response.
“Pfft. That’s the stupidest shit I’ve ever heard. Repressed feelings… Who said I have feelings?” Murderface almost sounded offended. “Feelings are fucking stupid. They don’t get you anywhere.”
“The cards don’t lie.” The diviner wondered if she could get him to look inwards. It seemed unlikely with the way he had been reacting. “Pick another card.”
“No. I don’t think I will.” Murderface got up and headed out.
“Stupid tarot card reader, thinking they understand me and shit…”
This whole tarot card thing wasn’t real - it couldn’t be. If it were true wouldn’t he have been able to pay her more to change his luck, or maybe this was the wrong type of person to go to for this sort of thing. Regardless he hated how her words stuck with him… ‘repressed feelings’. He hated how all these thoughts seemed to bombard him at once - thoughts of being a child, his upbringing, and this feeling of loneliness that so often tormented him when he was laying in the dark.
