Little felted pumpkins for the start of autumn! I’ll be adding this item to my shop Mt. Marten soon - which is now back open! You will notice some differences for the time being though - no post office visits for me, so that coupled with recent events involving USPS means that I won’t be selling any of my one-of-kind and/or higher value sculptures right now, and I’m only shipping domestically (US) using Priority Mail. I know that’s limiting, but it’s better than just being closed indefinitely so I’m going with it! Started this way back in early spring (if that isn’t obvious) but only got it all put together this past week, finally. Even though Mt. Marten updates lately - it’s been easy to neglect it since I got busy with other things and had to temporarily close my store anyway :( But here’s a little made-to-order item I had planned for my spring collection - wet felted songbird eggs. If you’ve tried to check out my shop this past month, you’ll have noticed that I’ve closed it down for the time being. I decided pretty quickly (even before CA’s mandatory stay-at-home measures) that as a higher-risk person I definitely couldn’t continue to go to the post office to fulfill orders (and no, arranging for package pickups isn’t something I can/want to do either). It’s discouraging as I had big plans this year for how to grow my business, but outside of that I can say that thankfully I still have freelance work, so money’s not the issue at least. (Finally, stretching myself in too many directions is paying off!) I know I’m really lucky in that regard. In fact, freelance work is why I’ve been so absent here lately, but soon I will be back at it and updating again, including new fiber work. Somehow I’ve still gained a handful of new followers while I’ve been neglecting updates, so thanks everyone for looking at my work!
