i am a manager at a retail store that sells a lot of "pop culture" merchandise. i enjoy it for the most part, save for customer complaints and the usual, but i will say it does make my days a little less miserable to crack open a box and see a face or a name i've read/seen on this blog. there's too many to list, and i've spoken to none of you, but i think about all of the names i see here often and go "oh! i know xyz about (name + source)" and hope somehow they're able to feel that someone is thinking about them in a positive light. who knows, one of the names or faces i know could be YOU! chances are i've thought "wow, i sure hope they're having a good day." :) i hope the good thoughts find their way to you (yes, you reading this).

canon perceptions ...... ummmm . some people only reduce me to my problems, perpetually forgetful and absentminded. i don't know if it ever had time to really change with anyone other than a handful of people once i figured things out. i DO know that i was seen as extraordinarily talented, prodigal. however i never thought of myself as anything special and i had leagues to go in improvement, and wish i had i gotten the chance. always could have done better. now i see myself as much of a failure with my perspective now, but it's not generally agreed upon. im working on it.

i'm so sorry i couldn't say goodbye. i'm so sorry i couldn't soothe you and keep you warm at night anymore. i'm sorry i didn't have time to tell you not to be sad or to live your life without being burdened by memories of your master. i'm sorry i never got that chance. i tell myself i'm making up for lost time...but i can't hear your voice anymore, and you're not warm, and you're only a stuffed animal. but i'd give anything to hear your cheery greeting to me or snappy comeback to a friend, or you cheering me on. i'll keep you as warm as i can now. i hope you can feel it. i'll try and make up for all of that time. i'll try and be half the man i used to be. my friend, my messenger, my companion. i'm sorry, ginko.
