Lotterics: a major of chance

Originating from sims who wished to hack their communities' friendly games, Lottery Sciences, or Lotterics, is the study of uncertainty and the affective, cognitive and behavioral processes that attempt to deal with it.

I needed this for OC purposes. In real life, it would be a discipline at the intersection of Game Theory, Ludology and Behavioral Economics.

But I tried to make the courses as Maxis-like as possible (available under Keep reading), and I quite liked the result, so I decided to share.

♣ IMPORTANT ♣

Lottery Sciences has been cloned from the Mathematics Major; required skills have been modified.

As a custom major, Lottery Sciences requires the University EP and an in-game access to non-Maxis majors, such as Eric's InSimenator or FrikaC's Majors Made Easy.

You are free to use the CC however you like, but please credit me if it's distributed.

I'd also like to ackowledge Nysha's tutorial for major creation.

The Corbusier 5 bedrooms - 4.5 bathrooms (3 are Master Suites) ~ garage, patio, spa, and pool ~ 10-Click High Foundation with a Daylight Basement. I made a few TS2 adjustments... like adding the third Master Suite in the basement, and using the area underneath the back porch as a lab/library. I hope your sims won't mind

The house is lightly furnished, and decorated. All appliances, plumbing, and lighting are included. The stove and grill both have a smoke alarms. The front door is burglar alarmed. All three levels have a telephone. There is parking available for two vehicles: one in the garage, and one on the driveway. Pet items are not included; but this is a pet friendly house. This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.

I see an anon asking around about the Super Duper Hug Bug. Chris Hatch claims that his Lot Cleaner will remove (as in remove, NOT as in just-hide-it-and-keep-casually-spreading-it) the bug from any lot it is used on.

This is the original floorplan. I only had to make a few TS2 adjustments... like the step-up from the foyer to the main house - that didn't happen. I also added the no-slope basement. And, I really wanted to use that lovely flat roof as a deck. I hope your sims won't mind  ;)

Building this one really strained my brain  But, I think I have a pretty good understanding of how the Grid-Adjuster works now (at least as far as foundations and split-level construction goes!) . Thank you, Mootilda for the awesome Grid Adjuster tool. This lot was also shrunk with her Lot Adjuster - even though it is a standard sized lot (I started out on a bigger lot, cuz I wasn't sure...)   Please scroll through all the pictures at MTS to see everything this house has to offer. 2020Redux I have redone this lot - it includes only 1CC now, and that is the snow terrain paint. I did not re-take pictures as it is basically the same (just a little less); the last 2 pictures - on the MTS post - are of the new lot. Links have also been updated. Enjoy!

At Winter Wonderland tree stand - u-pick and u-chop* your own Christmas Trees. Stay warm by the fire, roast some marshmallows, try the gourmet Hot Cocoa, an Espresso, or something stronger from the bar! There's also a charcoal park-grill, if you work up a hunger for hamburgers. Ice Carving and Axe Throwing are popular activities on this lot too, as is snuggling and smooching under the pines in the secluded back corner of the property. The tent *ahem* is meant for night-time security (ie: the business owner) to catch some Zzzzs.

This started out going to be a temporary lot. However, in my Riverblossom Hills, it's going to be a permanent attraction. I placed it in front of a large Christmas Tree Farm (use your imagination - it's actually just a few acres of carefully placed neighborhood pines!) I haven't built the farmhouse yet; but the land is cleared! Everything is included on this lot for it to be either an "owned business" or a "home business". After your sim buys the business, they can set the trees to actually BE for sale, right now they are just decoration *sigh* and you'd also be able to make your employees dress for the weather! ...or, of course, you can always keep it as a Community lot LOL! * - I was trying hard to be CC-free - so, I didn't include this... But, Rebecah over at AffinitySims, has a Wood-chopping Pine Tree that would be a great addition to this lot, I think!
