The 2000 MTV Movie Awards was taped Saturday, June 3, 2000 at Stage 15 on the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City, California and broadcasted Thursday, June 8, 2000 on MTV and hosted by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Performers were D'Angelo ("Devil's Pie"), NSYNC ("It's Gonna Be Me"), and Metallica ("I Disappear"). There were many presenters for this event including Janet Jackson, Samuel L Jackson, Marlon Wayans and more, but fans would be more excited to see Aaliyah on stage as a presenter.

Regurgitator's song Happiness (Rotting My Brain) would be the choice song for Aaliyah and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s introduction on stage to present the award for "Best Action Sequence" (which was won by George Lucas for Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace -- Yes, Aaliyah met George Lucas).

Trixie Mattel Shows Off Tamagotchi Ring at 2019 MTV Movie Awards

FASHION! Trixie Mattel, a famous American drag queen, singer-songwriter, comedian and television personality was presenting an award at the 2019 MTV Movie Awards for reality royalty along with Big Mouth’s Nick Kroll, and her ring is just everything.

As Trixie walked off the stage after presenting the award, you can catch a rather large ring on her finger, but it’s not actually a ring. Trixie is rocking a Tamagotchi ring covered in rhinestones that was gifted to her recently at the 2018 Dragcon in Manhattan New York by an adoring fan, Jayna Simpson. The rock, or Tamagotchi we should say, is a 2017 Tamagotchi Mini in that yellow/purple combo with adhesive rhinestones spread throughout the shell glued to a ring, what a great idea!

Trixie loved the ring so much that wore it to the 2019 MTV Movie Awards and definitely had the fans talking! Trixie Mattel is no stranger to Tamagotchi, you see that on her social media accounts!
