I've officially finished the first 2 chapters on my modern Tamsand au and I'm super excited to share it with you. It's been months of thinking and disorganized writing but it's finally here. I hope to keep on top of writing so I can put chapters out regularly. The plan is for around 30 chapters 🫣 There will be smut in later chapters.
Thank you to everyone who's helped me by answering my random questions and given advice and to all who've expressed interest! It's really kept me going.

Feysand/Tamsand
Summary: Rhys is happily dating Feyre but what happens when he can't get her roommate out of his head?
Tw: cheating, mentions of Amarantha and Tamlins father.
Rhys was nervous. A feeling he wasn't used to being a charming and persuasive business man running his dead fathers company. Being confident is part of what makes him successful and able to get Clients.
But today he was nervous. His heart was beating fast and his palms were sweaty. And the reason?
Feyre Archeron.
Well, her roommates to be more exact. Today would be the first time he met them. Feyre and him have been dating for almost 3 months and she finally decided it was time for him to meet the two men she lives with. He doesn't know much about them other than that the apartment is Lucien’s who is currently on break from traveling with his band and is dating Feyre’s sister Elain. Then Tarwyn? Or whatever his name is, is some kind of florist. Feyre met them both in art school. Lucien went through multiple different classes and fields before dropping out and starting a band with his friends Tarquin, Kallias and his fiancé Viv who according to Feyre is wicked on the drums. And the other one, Talmin? Was going for a BFA in music before dropping out for some reason. Feyre had just said he told her it wasn't realistic. She was the only one who stuck it through and graduated with a degree in art history and museum studies.
Feyre and him had met at a coffee shop Rhys had just happened to walk into that day. He was meeting a prospective client there and Feyre had spilt her coffee on him when she turned around, nose in her phone. Rhys thought she was gorgeous. She had profusely apologized and Rhys had said she could make it up to him by going on a date with him. She had agreed and they had such a great time that they went on more dates and a month in decided to be exclusive.
Not that Rhys had been dating recently. He hadn’t had time for that lately with how busy his job had been. That's why it didn't work out with his last hook up, a guy named Jurian. He was too needy and didn't understand that Rhys couldn't just leave his job in the middle of the day to go on a hike or go on a trip every weekend. Feyre was just as busy as him with her job and her art classes but they always managed to find time to see each other. Hopefully after he met the roommates, they'd be agreeable to Rhys staying over at their apartment instead of Feyre always coming to his. It made more sense since he lived farther from her job and he got off work earlier than her.
Pulling up to the street parking outside Feyre’s apartment, he really hoped they liked him. He got out, buttoning his HELION jacket to keep the chill out. He was distracted as he walked towards the line of trees that lead to the entrance.
Turning down the row, Rhys bit back a yelp as he collided with someone.
"SHIT sorry! I'm so sorry. Oh your jacket..."
Rhys looked down and noticed what looked like paint now splattered on his expensive jacket. He looked up, ready to give the asshole a piece of his mind when he looked into the most gorgeous eyes he's ever seen.
They were green but not just green. They were the color of the meadows he used to frolic as a kid in the next town over. The flecks of gold mesmerized him and he didn't realize he had zoned out and was just staring at the man in front of him until he noticed him backing up.
"-Go. I'm really sorry again" and then he was gone.
Rhys stood there for a minute, lost in a daze about the most beautiful man he's ever seen. He was tall, as tall as Rhys if not an inch or 2 taller. Blonde, he thinks, he was too busy staring into those eyes. The most brilliant green.
Rhys finally snapped out of his daze and turned to follow the direction the man went before realizing what he was doing and shaking his head. He's here to see Feyre. His girlfriend. Not to waste time chasing beautiful boys. He walked back to his car and threw in his ruined jacket before heading back to Feyre’s apartment.

Wednesday June 27th
The three of them are hanging out in the living room one day watching the latest episode of Love island, Rhys and Feyre on the couch while Tamlin sits on the chair, half watching the show while working on the shop's schedule for the weekend when he is gone. Lucien is gone for a couple weeks playing shows around neighboring cities so he only had to make up a lie to tell Feyre why he wasn't going to be home until Sunday night. He'd landed on saying his brother requested he attend a florist convention a couple towns over to learn about the latest trends and since his brother is the technical owner of the shop, Feyre didn't think anything strange of the request.
It's been two weeks since he and Tamlin had that argument and he'd invited him to go away with him as a way to smooth it over. They'd spent each day texting each other about things they wanted to do and talking about how excited they were about getting some real time together, not just Tamlin sneaking over to Rhys’ a couple times a week. He'd also spent that time trying to think of how he was going to break up with Feyre. It still made him feel sick, the pain he felt at breaking her heart was real but he knew he needed to do it. For Tamlin. He had finally resigned himself to what he needed to do and of course that's when Feyre threw a wrench in their weekend plans.
"Okay, the suspense is killing me. When are you going to ask me to go with you?" She asks as the show goes to a commercial break, pressing mute on the remote before turning to Rhys where he is sitting beside her on the couch.
"Go with me?"
"On your business trip! I know you requested that I come along! I heard you on the phone. Ressina already cleared my time off."
Rhys just stared at her before looking towards Tamlin who had gone still, and back. "Oh, you did?"
"Yes! At first I wasn't sure but then you called the hotel and booked the romantic suite and I knew you were going to surprise me. I didn't think it was going to be two days before though."
He knows he should make up an excuse, say she misheard or that it was for one of his employees, maybe Mor. Or say he was bringing Cass or Az and the romantic sweet was the only one available. But as he looked into her excited gaze, he found himself nodding. "Right…Sorry, Darling. I just wanted to make sure everything was set up correctly before asking."
Feyre beamed."You're lucky I overheard so I could take the time off."
Opening his mouth to respond, Rhys jumped when Tamlin shot up, muttering 'excuse me' before leaving the room. He wanted to follow him, to explain but how could he when he didn't even know what was happening. So he stays put and listens to Feyre talking about how excited she is, how she looked up the area and what was around there and what they could do when he's not in the conference.
Eventually she excuses herself to pack and he heads down to Tamlin's room. He knocked on the door, waiting for him to open it instead of just walking in like he normally does. He had to find a way to make this up to him, but how?
Dumping the next seven chapters before I take a step back from this fandom. I'll continue to work on the rest but I'm taking a break from posting until I feel less disillusioned. 🫶✨️

They were on the couch in an instant; Rhys leaning over Tamlin as they made out. His hands slid up from where they rested on his waist, underneath his shirt. He groaned as he felt his smooth warm skin.
Tamlin pulled back from the kiss, panting. "Rhys..."
"We don't have to do anything you don't want to...."
Tamlin bit his lip. "I want this, it's just....I've never done this before."
"You're a virgin?"
Tamlin nodded. "I've slept with women before and I've done other things with men but it never felt right with any of them enough to go further."
Rhys swallows, "and it feels right with me?"
Tamlin smiles and Rhys thinks to himself that it could light up the room. "Yes. It shouldn't but it does."
"It feels right to me too. I promise I'll make it good for you. Do you trust me?"
"I trust you."
Rhys smiled and leaned in to kiss him, pulling away before it got too heated. He stands up and holds out his hand "Come with me?"
Nodding, Tamlin grabs his hand and lets himself be pulled up and led out of the room. Rhys watches him look around as they walk, probably noting how the walls were mostly bare except for a few new art pieces.
They reach his bedroom door and he turns to Tamlin, pulling him in closer. "Just give me a minute, I want to make sure it's not a mess for you."
"Okay, don't be too long." Tamlin said before leaning in for a kiss.
Rhys fingers tighten on his hips before he pulls back "God, you drive me crazy."
Entering his room, he closes the door with one last wink at Tamlin. He sets off lighting candles and taking out the condoms and lube he keeps in his drawer. He lays them on the nightstand and his eyes land on the photo of Feyre he took on one of their dates. He hesitates before laying it face down. They shouldn't be doing this, fuck.
Walking over to the door, he opens it ready to tell Tamlin they can't do this when he takes in the blonde. He's leaning against the wall, head tilted back as his hand rubs at the bulge in his pants, his well kissed lips dropped open. His other hand is at his pec, rubbing his nipple through his shirt.
All thoughts of guilt leave Rhys' head. "Getting started without me, I see."
Green eyes open and a smirk grows on his lips as he shrugs "You were taking too long."
Rhys growls before crowding him up against the wall and kissing him. His hands roam his body over his clothes and he feels Tamlin doing the same. Gripping Tamlin's hips he turns him around and walks him backwards into his room, kicking the door shut behind him.

Rhys was sitting in his office, drumming his fingers against the black walnut desk, deep in thought. It’s 1 pm on a Thursday and he should be going over the expense reports but he’d been thinking about Tamlin again. He hadn’t seen the blonde in a couple weeks since they’d been trying to play it cool so as to not let Feyre find out their secret.
Tamlin had come over on the Tuesday after they came back and they had a long discussion full of apologies (from Rhys) and what they wanted from the future. He’d asked Rhys if he was serious about wanting to be with him and if he ever planned on breaking up with Feyre, promising he wouldn’t be mad at whatever the answer was. Rhys swore to him that he was who he wanted and that he would leave Feyre. He still didn’t want to break up with Feyre before the exhibit though and Tamlin reluctantly agreed though he made it clear that if Rhys kept stringing them both along and not making a decision, he would be done for real; no jealousy or apologies would bring him back.
He hadn’t spent the night, leaving with a long kiss at the door after he told Rhys he wasn’t ready to jump back to how they were before and suggesting they just take things slow, be more casual than they had been and Rhys agreed. Though Tamlin did come back on Thursday after celebrating his birthday at the club with Feyre, Lucien, Elain and the band as well as other friends and coworkers. Rhys hadn’t been invited, Tamlin stating he didn’t know if he could stay away from him so he came over around 12 am, after splitting from the group. Rhys had stripped him down and worshipped his body, pulling different sounds from his perfect lips before sliding inside and fucking him in a way that had him coming so hard he almost passed out. He didn’t stay the night, showering after laying in Rhys’ arms for a while and sneaking back home.
It’s been almost a month since then and they’ve only gotten together a few times though they text often. Even when he’s over at the apartment, which isn’t often since Feyre is busier with the exhibit coming, they haven’t seemed to cross paths. Opening his phone, he scrolls through the spring flowers website he had been browsing earlier (maybe just to see the beautiful blonde in the employee section) and makes a decision.
He clicks the button for his assistant. “Morrigan, can you call Spring flowers and order a bunch of plants and flowers for the office.”
“I can but why?” The bored voice of his assistant asked.
Rhys sighed. “Just do it. I think this place needs some freshening up.”
“Yes boss.”
“And see if the manager will deliver them”
“The manager? Why?”
“Just do it”
“Ugh fine”
Ten minutes later Rhys received an email receipt for $300 worth of plants and flowers. He needs to remind himself to never ask Mor to order things again. Did she order half the shop? At least she followed directions and the order notes confirmed delivery by the store manager in a few hours. Perfect.
Three hours later, at 4 pm, his phone rang.
“Yes?” He answered, relieved to have an excuse to look away from the numbers on the screen.
“Flower delivery is here. And a hot blonde came with it”
“Thank you Mor. Send him in here.”
A few moments later there was a knock on the door and then Mor opened the door and Rhys’ breath was stolen as Tamlin walked in looking like a breath of Spring. He was wearing a light green button up with the sleeves rolled up and dark brown slacks that were tight around his thighs. Rhys wanted to rip them off but instead he just looked up into surprised green eyes as he walked in.
“That is all, Mor. Thank you.” Rhys says, not looking away from the vision in front of him.
Mor saluted him before she left, closing the door behind her.
Tamlin turned to him “I thought it was strange that someone ordered all these plants and requested for me to deliver them. But now I understand.”
“Understand what?” Rhys says coyly, walking up to Tamlin and wrapping his hands around his hips.
Throwing his arms around his neck, Tamlin leans in and whispers conspiratorially. “That you just wanted to see me.”
“Can you blame me? It’s been ages since I last held you in my arms.” Rhys whines, leaning in to give Tamlin a kiss.
Tamlin pulls back before their lips can meet “Is this okay? What if someone walks in?”
“No one can come in without going through Morrigan and she always calls first.” Rhys tells him while starting to back him up into the door. “But if it will make you feel better then I can just do this.”
The click of the lock fills the room and with a shy smile, Tamlin lets Rhys lean in and connect their lips. His hands slide down to rest on Rhys’ waist as they kiss.
Rhys has one hand flat on the door beside Tamlin’s head as he pushes their bodies together, slipping his tongue into Tamlin’s mouth. The peace that fills him at finally being with his lover almost beats out the desire that filled his veins as soon as his beautiful boyfriend walked in.
When they pull back, they are both out of breath. Rhys leans his forehead against the other man’s, their breath mixing in between their lips.
“Fuck, I’ve missed you. It’s been torture staying apart.”
“I know. I missed you too.” Tamlin admits, rubbing his nose against Rhys’. “But not too long now, right? The exhibit is next month and then you can leave her.”
Rhys nods, dread filling his stomach at the mention of ending things with Feyre. But he knows he needs to, he promised. He pulls back from Tamlin, releasing him from the door. “I suppose we should discuss business before pleasure.”
Tamlin blinks before nodding, standing straighter as he goes into business mode. “Right. So where did you want the plants? I can distribute them around the office if you’d like.”
“That would be great. You know I have no eye for these things.” Rhys says with a chuckle. “You don’t mind do you? I can pay extra.”
“No, it’s alright Rhys, I have time. I left Cress in charge and Em is in today so the shop is in good hands.” Tamlin says with a smile, looking around the office. “Did you want some in here too?”
“Yeah, sure. Can you distribute them out on the floor first? I have some stuff to finish up and then I can give you my full attention.” He says, eyes trailing up Tamlin’s body slowly and he smirks when he sees the color rise to his cheeks.
“Of course. I’ll go do that now and then come back here?” Tamlin asks and Rhys nods. “I might be a bit. I have to grab the flowers from the van.”
Rhys pulls him close again, not being able to keep his hands off the other man. “Take your time, Pet.” He leans in and kisses Tamlin again, hands squeezing his hips before sending him off with a swat on the ass.

Chapter 21: Say there's no one else for you
Chapter summary: Jealousy creeps in after Rhys' family arrives. A badly timed rendezvous leads to them being caught...
Playlist with the songs the chapter titles are from.
Read on AO3, preview below:
Rhys was fuming as he stood in the backyard beside Feyre. He was surrounded by his family but all he could see was Tamlin across the yard, talking to his cousin Kier. And Kier was laying it on thick by the look of it. And Tamlin…Tamlin wasn’t walking away. He also didn’t look like he wasn’t enjoying it. Rhys had half a mind to go over there and rip him away…down to the room preferably so he can strip him down and fuck him again. Tamlin just looked so fucking tempting in the short-sleeved button up, the sleeves fitted snugly around his biceps as the crisp white brought out his golden skin and the green trousers fit snugly around his thighs and ass.
The morning hadn’t left any time to sneak off as it had been spent setting up the backyard for the family and helping his mother in the kitchen, though Cassian and Tamlin were both hungover, one more silently suffering than the other.
Rhys found it hard to stay away from the blonde, even while maintaining normal pda with Feyre. He let his hand slide onto Tamlin’s ass as he passed him, kissed his neck in the kitchen when his mother walked out for a moment, hugged him from behind when they were on the back porch as he set up the beer pail and pulled him into the bathroom to kiss for a minute before the guests arrived around 1 pm.
The backyard was now filled with his relatives, both his mothers and fathers sides, as well as some family friends. He’d made his rounds with Feyre, introducing her to everyone. He’d kept his distance from Tamlin, especially after catching Az’s knowing looks, though he always knew where he was. Cass and Az were making their own rounds, Cass still trying to flirt with one of his cousins even though they’d shot him down for years. Meda was playing with the other younger cousins and his mom was being the perfect host as usual. He’d have to go check on her soon and see if she needed any h-
“-Rhys?"
He looked down at Feyre when he realized she was talking to him. She looked beautiful in a light blue sundress, small white flowers all over and her hair cascading in styled waves; nothing like the natural waves that Tamlin has.
“Sorry, what did you say, darling?”
“Your cousin asked if we were planning on taking any trips and I said we talked about Europe.”
Rhys nodded “That’s right.”
He looks back towards where Tamlin…was. He looks around and sees Kier was now over with their other cousins. Looking towards the house, he sees a flash of blonde disappearing through the patio doors. He squeezes Feyre’s side before stepping away “I’ll be right back”
He leaned down and gave her a kiss before he followed Tamlin into the house. He found him in the kitchen, pouring a glass of wine. Looking around, Rhys walked up to him and grabbed his wrist “Come with me”
Tamlin looked surprised but put down the glass and let Rhys lead him out of the room and up the stairs until they reached the laundry room. He opened the door and closed it behind them.
“What’s going on?” Tamlin asked, turning around to face him.
Rhys turns around and grabs him by the hips, backing him up to the washing machine. “You look so good, pet. And you’re mine”
