  這個系列活動在討論過度生產導致的消費文化.

畢業後回到離開10年的台灣, 對家鄉的消費,物質文化和社交互動模式著迷不已.

消費被視為休閒解壓, 我們工作換取消費的條件.

在以貨幣易物為霸權的社會中, 貨幣的價值如此絕對單一. 

然而 總統和流浪漢手上的可口可樂又不盡相同

世界在生產過剩的生態中, 我們用貨幣交換來的, 是精神層面裡的何者?

  起點在三月, 設置了SiOUSiOU換衣攤,限定用大家身穿的單品. 當沒有數字:標價, 作為參考的情況下, 參與互動的大家當下擁有了決定價值的主權. 接著在五月, 換衣趴邀請所有來賓互換身上行頭. 策展人以派對的形式包裝, 用群眾互動的行為進行主題討論. 活動中大家來到一個不尋常的場域, 它提供非物質的獎品鼓勵參加者交換身上的衣物. 這些事後被穿回家的物質有個故事, 一個奇怪派對的歷史粘附在上, 只有參加者本身擁有其體驗. 當它被丟棄或轉送, 這個體驗在參加者的記憶裡變成沒有證據去回想, 但它確實存在.

這個活動延續Yu'an 一直以來策展的實驗方向,  交換衣物的行為是語言, 派對場地是展間, 參與者的體驗是其媒材, 且有時間性的不斷改變記憶的樣貌, 作品便一直在改變.

  The series of events were curated to discuss the topic of consumer culture lead by the over production.

Return to Taiwan after 10 years living in the U.K, the consumer and material culture fascinate the artist. She sees the pattern of shopping as leisure activities and to work over hours is a way of earning the right to do so. Living in a world where money is almost the only currency and its value seems so absolute.  Yet somehow we can all see the difference in value of coca cola can holding by a president or a cleaning lady.  The artist raise the question of what is it we actually swap for with the money we own.

  As a starting point, an installation was set up among other stool traders in a music festival. Offering the costumers an opportunity to re think the value and price of their shopping hobbit. Four rails of clothing hanging in the air are not for sale, the customers can only swap what they are wearing with the desired items. Desire, after all, is the basis of consumerism. 2 months later,  the artist hosted a party where guests are invited to swap their outfits. Using party as an attraction and the actions of the party goers as a way of discussing the topic. Non material prizes were offered to encourage them to do so. The unusual situation was attached to the garments swapped with others during the night. The odd experience exist privately to every part takers, even if the piece of evident were gone, The memory is there.

The action of swapping is the language, the club is the exhibition space, participants experience is the medium. Memory of such event keeps changing and so is the piece of the work.
