So i’m back. idk if anyone even remembers me, i was so inactive on dramione stuff these last 2/3 years i guess. but nostalgia hit me hard in this troubled time and I just missed reading fanfics quietly. so i just read isolation in two days, im about to start the fallout for the xx time, i started rewatching all the beautiful fanvideos, and i came back to tumblr and have to start from 0 again, kinda excited. bc dramione forever really. and hp too <3

I totally agree with you;Malia won't cheat on Stiles. And I think it's pretty simple to understand. Malia puts her faith and trust on Stiles above anyone else;he is her "mate" and even though she has been human for a few months,I believe she still has her "animal" side. And I don't think that cheating on your mate is an animal concept. She would never betray the one person who has helped her throughout these months. It would be OOC. No matter how much I don't like her,I know she won't do it.

Hi! So maybe this is completely absurd, but in your sneak peak speculations you talked about how lydia left the hospital back in season 2. I've been reading some posts about how lydia may be the raven because it appears in those 5 minutes. So what if back in season 2 lydia actually.. transformed into a raven and flew off into the woods or something..??

I’m coming briefly up for air during my most hectic June since completing my Master’s eons ago. Sorry for the lateness in this reply. 

Mythology is not my strong suit, but I do think it’s a good chance Lydia represents the Raven we’ve heard mentioned. I’m not convinced she can turn into an actual bird though, but not ruling it out. Anyway I don’t think that is her outside Eichen house, but it might serve as a hint and a connection to her if nothing else.

The presence of a raven outside Eichen House might be a hint that her powers are increasing, and she’s getting more into her abilities. There was also the birds that attacked the classroom Lydia was in in 3a (I did a whole breakdown of possible reasons why here), her owl necklace in season 2 and possible other bird associations that I can’t remember now. Not sure it’s connected but who knows. 

Among the Irish Celts, Raven was associated with the Triple Goddess, the Morrigan, who took the shape of Raven over battlefields as Chooser of the Slain. She was a protector of warriors

Raven is also the totem of the Goddess Morgan le Fay, who was also called the Queen of Faeries. In some tales, she is Queen of the Dubh Sidhe, or Dark Faeries, who were a race of tricksters who often took the form of ravens.

Irish and Scots Bean Sidhes (Banshees) could take the shape of ravens as they cried above a roof, an omen of death in the household. The Raven is considered an omen of death, a bird of prophecy. Ravens are also ridiculously intelligent. 

Raven is a contrary spirit. on the negative side, Raven represents the profane, the devil, evil spirits, the trickster and thief, war and destruction, death and doom, the void. Yet in many cultures Raven also represents deep magic, the mystery of the unknown, death and transformation, creation, healing, wisdom, protection, and prophecy.

We also have a string of dead ravens in the promo, which might be serve as an ominous sign to Lydia that she’s “losing it”, or someone is targeting her, possibly both. Especially if the cold open in episode 5x01 is set further ahead in time and we will then learn about the events that lead to that point. Or Lydia is mentally attacked and this is all in her head, much like Stiles in the cold open from 3b. 

This was mostly a lot of jumbled thoughts on ravens and possible ties to Lydia. A good few weeks away from metaing have me feeling somewhat out of practice funnily enough :) To summarize I do think it’s likely the ravens are connected to Lydia. Whether she can turn into an actual raven I’m not so sure about - I’m not sure I want more full animal transformations to be honest, but that is mostly my personal preferences talking.
