The Medieval Unicode Font Initiative is a non-profit workgroup of scholars and font designers who would like to see a common solution to a problem felt by many medieval scholars: the encoding and display of special characters in Medieval texts written in the Latin alphabet.

After the party, Drew led Emily to his car, opening the door for her and watching as her blue-haired head bobbed into the passenger seat. He started towards WDPA, but made a left turn just past it, entering the parking lot of an apartment complex nearby: their new one, to be exact. Drew hurriedly parked and helped her out of the seat, tugging her along to their elevator. “Close your eyes,” he instructed as the doors closed behind them, “trust me.”

Drew guided Emily to the door of their new apartment and unlocked it, swinging it wide open. “Okay, you can look,” he smiled, letting her walk in first to see what he had done. They had no furniture yet, but Drew found some sleeping bags and lay them out like a bed, taking pillows from both their dorms to create a sort of nest on their living room floor. He reached for a lighter on the counter and proceeded to light a plethora of candles around the room, then turned to shine a bright smile in her direction. “We can order in, too. And I got the internet to work so we could watch a movie. But we don’t have to, we can do whatever you want.”
