So I know it’s not exactly the bbros AU but since everyone that has ever saw it knows that most saddest part ... mugs shot and cup very sad 😞 so does that happen or something different or worse (also in one of the post there was a cuphead with the different eyebrows is that a different cup)

This would be the easiest way to explain the different of the three versions of Cupbros.
The one that you ask might be the OGQuest! Cuphead from Rouge’s comic, since he only one that have “eyebrows” and the jello thing that is more connect physically to their body unlike other two since the jello that BB&CB!Cup is not really part of him, it just a jello.
And the reason for C!Cupbros and BB&CB!Cupbros have more similar in design due to BB&CB!Cupbros basically the older version of of the C!Cupbros that just happens in same universe as the Quest AU, so most of the backstory is still the same for the both AUs. Also OGQuest!Cupbros’ design is more anime-like from Rouge’s early artstyle that she start her comic, which in the inky Mystery fan art is basically this style but the brothers don’t have neck to differentiate a bit (plus draw them with neck is weird for me anyways).
