~First Snow and Confessions~
It was December 12th and it felt like Muichiro couldn’t get Kiyoka to stop asking about who he liked, it was obvious to everyone but her that he liked her. With the way he was much more gentle around her than anyone else and the way he would stare at her with a lovesick expression when she wasn’t paying attention. To him, she was the most beautiful girl in the world. And the only one he likes. Muichiro was shaken out of his thoughts when he poked his cheek.
He let out a soft hum and she handed him his backpack.
“You almost forgot your backpack as we were leaving silly~ Watcha thinking about that’s getting you so distracted?”
Muichiro’s cheeks heated up as he grabbed his backpack and Kiyoka’s heart sank a little. She don’t let it show on her face but she thought he was blushing at their classmate, Nezuko. She put on a fake mischievous smile and stepped in front of him.
“Ooo! Lemme guess! You’re thinking about how cute Nezuko is huh!”
Muichiro whipped his head to glare at her but she knew not to take it to heart.
“Wh-Wha, no! I don’t think she’s cute, I think you’r—“
Muichiro stopped himself mid sentence and turned away with his cheeks heating up even more. Kiyoka gave him a puzzled face and tried to peek at his face.
Muichiro shook his head and pretended to be grumpy as he started to walk away.
“Nothing… let’s just go before we miss the bus”
Kiyoka grabbed his sleeve and gave him her best puppy dog eyes.
“Pleeeaasseee Mui. You can’t just tell me you don’t have a crush on Nezuko then not tell me who you actually have a crush on!”
Muichiro scowled in embarrassment and tried to pry away from her grasp.
“Because it’s you… and I don’t have the guts to tell you…”
Muichiro had muttered that last part under his breath so Kiyoka didn’t hear.
“Nothing let’s just get going…”
Kiyoka decided to tease him to make herself feel better. She thought he couldn’t possibly like her back, but she was wrong.
“Aww, is it me you have a crush on~?”
Muichiro froze as his face lit up even more. And once Kiyoka noticed, she stopped giggling. Her own cheeks started to grow red as she dashed in front of him.
“Wait…. Really?! You like me, of all people?!”
Kiyoka stood still with a blank expression as she processed what he was saying. Once it finally clicked, Kiyoka started to speed walk towards the door of the school. Muichiro chased after her whilst yelling.
“Kiyo! Wait up! Can we please talk about this?”
Muichiro was worried this meant that she didn’t like him back. His worry grew as he saw her stop right outside the building. He ran up to her and looked at her with concern.
Muichiro looked at the sky and it was indeed snowing, the first snow of the season. A large smile embedded itself on Kiyoka’s face and she excitedly turned to Mui, grabbing his hands in the process.
“It’s snowing! Mui Mui look!”
Muichiro sighed in relief that Kiyoka didn’t seem to be upset by him liking her. He thought about it for a moment before taking her hands and making her look him in the eye.
“Kiyoka…. I like you. A lot. And I want to know if you would like to go out with me…”
The scene was beautiful. Kiyoka and Muichiro were standing underneath a beautiful blue sky with snow falling all around them. What made it even better was the small kiss Kiyoka planted on his cheek. She pulled away with a smile, her hands still in his.
“I like you too Mui and I would love to go out with you later. But now…”
She let go of his hands and ran out into the snowy grass. She picked up some snow and formed it into a ball before throwing it at him.
“We’re having a snowball fight!!”
