My planner setup #Day4
Set up a planner for the next school year. I decided this year to buy a calendar, where I can write important dates and notes, instead of drawing boxes, making event section etc. in my old one. It was time consuming and this year I really wanted to have something more simple, that won’t be hard to carry around. So I choose a Muji 2019.9 small, white planner (picture above). It is a planner for a school year, so I don’t need to worry, that I won’t have enough space.
So, how I set up my planner?
1. Personalize it - I write my name, and some contact information, in case when somebody has found it. I try to make it mine, so I add some title, maybe favourite washi tape etc.
2. Family events - I start to fill it with important dates. I highlight the Christmas, Easter, Summer time and write birthdays of my family and friends.
3. School events - I write the dates of school breaks, some important events and scheduled tasks, that I’m sure will happen that day.
4. Back to school - I schedule the plan of upcoming weeks before school starts. I write what I need to prepare, where I need to go and I just start planning next week, to feel productive (XD)
5. Customize - I try to add some decorations inside, to find the planner more encouraging and cosy! Use highlighters, color pens etc.
How to pick a planner?
I think that before you make a decision, which planner you would like to buy, you need to ask yourself an important question: Will I find this planner attractive and useful in five months? Picture yourself with this notebook, a couple months later, when you maybe start to be tired of school or you lost the motivation to be so organized as at the beginning.
You don’t need to buy a super expensive planner with tons of different sections that you may not even use. Planner is a place, that will guide you during the year, so it needs to be practical.

Holiday Update 2.0
I'm back from Beijing 北京 and it was beautiful! 😍 I'm glad I could visit and will definitely come back! Also I'll visit Shanghai as well, for sure 😍
Yesterday I met with my best friend and we went to Muji. I didn't bring that much money so I only bought a weekly planner and a pencil case for the next school year. Only 1 1/2 weeks of holidays left 😢 tbh I'm quite excited but also sad because the worst thing about school to me is to get up early. What do you like/not like about school?
