Muku Sakisaka character analysis

Warnings: swearing (I got mad that half of it deleted), moderate angst, mukuyuki fluff if u squint really hard

Ok literally fucq tumblr I wrote the most bomb ass muku character analysis and like half of it got deleted- cant have shit in Detroit. Luckily I screenshotted some of it so like take the half cohesive masterpiece God couldnt handle the raw power of and had to destroy

I’m really mad so here I’ll give u the run down of all my main points:

-muku holds himself to this super high standard of being an amazing prince from shoujo manga, represents his ideal self

-he’s afraid of being ordinary or not good enough and recognizes the gap between himself and his dream self, is too hard on himself about it. Thinks people can see his short comings as well as he can.

-muku has a ton of emotional intelligence from reading so many books and empathizes with others rlly well (ex: yuki comforting scene, forgiving tenma, understanding 1001 nights characters, etc.) is very mature in that way and forgives others rather than holding grudges

-it’s lowkey hella sad that mukus dreams of being a track star were crushed by an injury and I guarantee that totally messed up his self esteem into what it is in act 1. Imagine ur goals and a big part of how u define yourself are finally on a path to being realized and they all come crashing down instantly. While he was laid up and injured he resorted to manga again and circled back to what his ideal self (prince) really is

-instead of becoming a delinquent or using a false persona or something like banri and Itaru he re-evaluated and decided to be constructive and work hard at acting and becoming a better person, which is literally so mature and amazing of him and I’m so proud of him. Mankai gives him an opportunity to express his imagination and be appreciated for the fantastic empathetic caring person he is, and helps him realize that he deserves to love himself too

-mukus a great actor, friend, and romantic person to date (NO SEXUALIZING MUKU THO HOMIES A M I N O R) because he’s really good at understanding others and always knows what to say to make you feel better. He deserves someone to do the same for him, and I’m glad mankai does that

-also muku loving romantic things and manga in general is just so elite like he would totally be the type to respect all women and get u flowers and stuff and honestly that’s just immaculate I have to stan

-mukus character arc is amazing and he’s such a great character I rlly hope this half-assed summary of what was once one of my most godly takes (before tumblr nerfed it by zapping half of it away) convinces u to appreciate him more too.
