Here’s another ask: What are your experiences with delusions and plurality?

! I dont have enough energy to explain well, but I had a lot of spiritual delusions which lead to having parts (alternate identities) based on them. Like demigod or otherwise nonhuman parts. They didnt front, but they werent just hallucinations. They had names, personalities, feelings, etc. I dont remember a lot of it anymore since it was a long time ago and the parts went away when the delusions faded.

But apart from that, professionals have gone back and forth on if my alters are alters or hallucinations. I dont think I can ever truly know if my system is psygenic outside the delusion based parts, but at this point I.. try not to care. Plurality is complicated and presents in a whole lot of ways.

I transferred a selection of answers to the questionnaires (see prev. post) onto two textile banners in the shape of tongues referring to the bilingualism and ongoing cultural and linguistic rupture in South Tyrol. Like the questionnaires the banners invite the viewer to think about their own answers, to change perspective and think about language differently, as the basis of post-migrant negotiation processes.

At the opening of the exhibition I conducted a mini version of the workshop I did with the pupils, exploring the questions further and connecting audience members with tongue-banners, in order to get into different dialogues on the basis of the questionnaires.

The 68 bus route itself starts at Euston bus station and the burial site and memorial for Matthew Flinders. It proceeds through Bloomsbury, taking in the British Museum, most of the colleges of the University of London, the Inns of Court and the High Court, the old commercial heart of Imperial London and the Australian High Commission at Aldwych. Across the River Thames, depending on ambition and patience, it passes by the major cultural centre of Southbank, the Imperial War Museum and destinations further south. There are emblems and places enough on this route to suggest that jurisprudents have been at work in London and one might take up a responsibility to pattern the Enduring Civilisation and Encounters exhibitions into London and its jurisprudence.

Despite the somewhat erratic routines of arriving by bus from South London, a jurisprudent could hardly excuse themself arriving at the British Museum without some sense of the conduct of lawful relations.

However travel on the 68 Bus should not be undertaken without resources. My own were an English translation of Montaigne’s Essays (1987) and Paul Carter’s Meeting Places (2013). They both touch on the forms of unofficial training in the persona of the diplomat and jurisprudent, and they both worry about how to meet well. On the return trip I read the subtly discordant exhibition catalogue, Indigenous Australia: Enduring Civilisation (Sculthorpe 2015) for the same purpose.
