Muller prints, for those unfamiliar with them and how this idea came to life: This new product collection is an idea that evolved while making my paint. The process includes dry pigment, watercolor binder, a glass plate and a glass muller. With a lot of manual labor, the vivid pigment particles change into a buttery paint. The residue of paint left on the muller, can be a piece of art itself. This is also known as a muller print. A muller print is basically a stamp of a glass muller , printed on a piece of paper after the proces of making paint. The paint that's left on the paper, when the muller is lifted off, leaves a sticky pattern that's unique every single time. The pigments used in the paint, but also the humidity of the air control the final result. Unique, almost like a fingerprint. Since pigment related products are my niche, these posters are fully based on muller prints made after mulling that exact pigment. @kremerpigmente #mullerprint #paintmaking #mulling #glassmuller #print #poster #handmadewatercolors #pigments #muller #handmade #smallbusiness #unique #artprint #archival #colors (bij Dirty Blue) https://www.instagram.com/dirtyblueshop/p/CYtftdmsyz6/?utm_medium=tumblr
