Headcanons: Crowley (or Anthony J. Crowley or other such names)
For my new favorite demon!
Crowley was an Angel for time spanning less than a single decade (perhaps much shorter, depending on how time was measured before earth was created) which is why he’s so capable of forgetting his time as an angel
As an angel turned demon he is - benevolent, ancient, all-knowing and wise, agender (or lacking in a recognizable gender), asexual, and demiromantic
He retains the ability to smell through taste and it is much more useful than he cares to admit
He’s extremely cold natured; he owns a heating blanket and a heating lamp he turns on over his desk and sometimes his couch
He hated the 14th century; the empires were basically in flames waring with each other, the food was abismal, the writers and artists were gloomy and non-corruptible, and the songs were depressing, not to mention religious in theme; however, as much as he loves the modern era, he misses the B.C(.E) era when humans were simpler, most kinder, and technology had yet to turn society (in part) repugnant
He invented the practice of tattoos
He has never killed anything without it being a direct accident or necessary use of cover and immediately bringing the being back to life
He built/created his current flat space some time in the 18th century and any modern installments were “a bit ahead of their time”; but he also remodeled it in the early 1970’s just before he started purchasing his plants
Wing care: He goes flying, in the dead of night, over his favorite cities/landmarks on earth at least four times a year for exercise and mediation; he leaves earth for especially long flights into the open expanse of space or his favorite neighboring planets/solar systems once every three years; he is meticulous about cleaning his wings - especially compared to most demons - he wishes he did it more often and he doesn’t feel as though they are truly clean until he “warms” them in Hell Fire (after a brushing and tweezing)
While Crowley is a demon and doesn’t need to eat or sleep, he does both; he sleeps between 13-30 hours once a week in absolute darkness (true darkness); he sleeps with a black eye mask; he has several (some have jewels and some have words written across them); the only food or human products he consumes are generally “unhealthy” and linked with “sin” by humans; sugar, aphrodisiacs, alcohol; he has tried every known drug imaginable (most nearly on the very day they were created; some known to species outside of humans) for “the experience”, but he generally does not use drugs recreationally; it’s for his persona and to emphasize his rebellion; but also, as a means to empathize with individuals who use or abuse drugs; he has won multiple alchol-related contests; he only “eats” when dining with Aziraphale and never more than for a taste and to keep up appearances
Crowley is an extremely safe driver; he’s never once had a collision of any sort and has never made direct contact with an object or person (Anathema was really compelled by faith to hit him and it’s the only thing to ever hit his car while in motion); he’s most certainly never lost control without having been able to regain it (even last minute); he’s proficient at multi tasking and is able to observe his surroundings in a full 360 degrees at all times (his use of scent has saved him from close calls a few times)
Crowley names every single one of his plants: complicated names, ancient names, angelic names, names he has to look up or invent; names of famous artists or characters; plants he has a sneaking suspicion of that they will not last long may be named after enemies or places he doesn’t like to be sent to; he has had literally hundreds of plants in the little room over the last 40 odd years (having no less than 10 at any given time) and he has never used the same name or configuration of name for more than one plant; most impressively he has never once spoken a single name of a plant aloud as to avoid showing sympathy or favor; he remembers his favorites, of course, some 20 of them that managed to live longer than 5 years (most averaging a mere 2)
His prize possession is one of his current plants; his favorite, the reining champion who is going on 11 years now (the next closest in his collection has only lived to about 8 years); Crowley had a feeling when purchasing this particular plant, that it was a winner, not easily intimidated; the plant in question has outlived a great number of plants and Crowley expects to see it outlive a great many more; it is one of the biggest and certainly the most green, taking up an entire corner of the room; it looms over others and never shakes or stirs when Crowley saunters into the room making his threats or taking one of the poorer plants to the chipper when they just “can’t cut it”; the plants name is Freddie Mercury
I’ve talked about this before, but I love when gamers have an active running series on the channel. They’re the best of times both on the channel and in the individual community.
And since I tend to associate a particular game with the first gamer I watch play it, I won’t really watch too much (if any at all) of another gamer play a game once I’m invested in a series with one particular gamer.
So, to my utter amazement and happiness, it’s been a great few weeks between watching Felix on his channel play Minecraft and make me care about a bunch of pixelated animals and Jack play Kindergarten 2 and act out all the different voices.
It’s the little things that mean the most, and I’m enjoying every episode and the many jokes that come along with them!!
If you reimagine the entire film of FFH in the perspective of Talos and his wife (who were genuinely my favorite relationship in Captain Marvel because their reunion was so beautiful), the skyscraper scene where “Maria” saves “Fury” is 1000% more satisfying and super sweet.
I’m really glad that in the Good Omens Fandom there is no big push for a “team Crowley” or “team Aziraphale”.
We’re adults now. They are a package set. We like them both equally.
Aziraphale and Crowley said fuck the church AND the state
I don’t care if they were both in mo-cap suits on a green sound studio and I saw it 2 weeks after the movie.
That irondad kiss is canon and no one will ever take it away from me.
Legit scared to tag the actual tags for people to find on twitter, but it’s all good! It was awesome! People should see it! Including you reading this!
