This is one of my deep-dive design projects, focusing on optimizing the functionality of a business card while remaining sleek and impactful.  As I continue transitioning into my freelancing lifestyle, I wanted to reflect the shift by updating my business card.  (Not many people have tried doing something like this, I’ve done the Googling.)

You’d be surprised how much real estate is really is on a 2.5″ x 3.5″ business card.  This design contains: 

Phone Stand (using a credit card or similar)

Four standard wrench sizes

Scraper edge

Imperial and metric rulers

Standard driver bit holder

Flathead

Prybar feature

Compass

X-acto blade attachment feature

Keychain hole

1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″ radii reference

So hopefully whoever recieves these cards will 1) have a lasting impression of me, and 2) will actually use this card as a crafting or design tool.  Us makers have to help each other out.  It doesn’t make sense to advertise myself as just a woodworker or an engineer anymore.  So ”Maker” feels pretty good.
