(someone should make a gif comparison of those scenes please, because i swear to god magneto is just mentally screaming a constant barrage of “i’msorry/i’msorry/i’msorry/iloveyou” in both of them, painfully horrified in when charles dies before his eyes in the last stand and full of regret in dofp, the only difference being that his stupid helmet is stopping charles from hearing in xm3 which is why he gets rid of it when charles comes back)
