And looking at Cerberus she did. Lily was impressed. She had heard stories of the Greek God but even at her ripe age of 428-ish, she has never had to pleasure to meet any of them. She assumed they went into hiding or vanished to another world where they would still be worshiped as heavily as they were all those years ago.
Lily removed the cigarette holder from her mouth and let it hang freely between her fingers. Her arms were crossed but she was clearly interested. Abnormal was normal to her.
“I see. He’s an impressive beast, but you’re both quiet far from your home.” This clearly wasn’t Greece. It was actually a small countryside town in Oxford, England.
“What you consider your entire world is our home.” His voice was raspy from misuse. He had been so long without his wife, Persephone, that he must have looked close to death. Which wasn’t accurate at all, considering who he was. “Or second home, to some.”
Cerberus lowered itself to the ground, all three heads looking sullen. This was the first time all of them had visited the surface in over two centuries, and they’d done so in the hopes of seeing his wife. But what energy they’d latched on to had been hers, a virtual stranger. She was either old enough to emit energy that could mimic an Olympian’s, or she was a demigoddess. He couldn’t see the thin golden aura that a full-fledged god or a demigod had around their form, so he guessed that it was the former.
“What do you call this place?”
